Just watched Zodiac a couple days ago and the scene where Downey Jr’s character gets the greeting card with the bloody piece of cloth reminded me of Riddler’s letter to Batman in the trailer. Seeing the parallels between that movie and what we’re seeing with Reeve’s film, I can only imagine how sadistic Riddler will be. I also love the idea of him letting Batman catch him.

I want to say he’s taken his own voice down an octave, but it could be a voice modulator. Either way I’m a fan of ALL OF IT.

Zodiac was so-so for me. I think it has some great moments, it's just the nature of the case itself means there's no real resolution.

If anything it gives far too much closure by implying Graysmith was right that Allen was the Zodiac which is the biggest problem with the film. I know it is based on Graysmith's memoir and all that but Allen isn't taken particularly seriously as a Zodiac suspect anymore and hasn't been for a long time.

I definitely have to look into this. The Black Dahlia case unnerves me for two reasons, which makes it difficult to really get into it. First, because it terrified me horribly as a kid when I saw her photo and understood I was looking at an actual dead and severely mutilated body. Second, I share the same birthday with her.

The Hodel thing comes from books written by Hodel's own son. There's a healthy father/son relationship if I've ever seen one!

Hodel is an unlikely but not crazy Dahlia suspect because he was actually investigated at the time but it would almost be easier to list the major American serial killers his son hasn't accused him of being.

I honestly thought it was just those two lol. What other killers has he accused him of being ?

The Lipstick Killer and, according to wikipedia, the Manila Jigsaw murderer who I am unfamiliar with. I want to say I've heard the Cleveland Torso Murders attributed to him as well but I might be misremembering some true crime reddit randos theory as belonging to Hodel's son.

On a semi relevant note ; the miniseries about Hodel/Black Dahlia took the perfect name for a Batman series ( I Am The Night) and I still haven't gotten over it

I believe he's supposed to be wearing an "extreme cold weather" mask. So it's either part of the mask, like this:

He is. In fact, he's so loathsome as that character it makes me have a hard time seeing him being a more put together, green suit and tie wearing, Riddler.

Paul can clean up nicely. Especially with a good wardrobe department. It would be great seeing how much of a difference it makes for him on film.
