Excellent, finally some good news about this movie! This announcement and that I rented and watched "The Island" this weekend and liked it has got my hope back up for this movie.

The writers are defending Flame Prime so he's official. Four foot Soundwave was in the reviewed scripts from February so he's official.

And if there was no uproar he'd still be called Soundwave. This is not time to be faint of heart, my dear.

They aren't defending it. They said there's context, which is incredibly vague. That's not official anything.

And a 5 month old script review isn't official news either. But for the sake of argument, let's pretend he is 4 ft tall. How is that an example of Bay not caring about making a film fans would enjoy?

Because it was roundly bashed by even the most accepting of fans?

And it doesn't matter how old the script is. The evidence says he was there and you have no evidence to say he was removed (or do you? ), so the correct thing would be to assume he's still in there until we know otherwise. It's better than being taken by suprise later.

It's like the Flame Prime thing. People have been joking about it for 6 months but assumed it would never actually happen. It's been known to be Michael Bay's favoured paint scheme for quite some time.

Did you not hear him reasure people that the final version will have more red (through his admin)? Why would he even bother if it wasn't supposed to be Optimus Prime?

Plus you could explain why Optimus Prime looks like a combine harvester using the right context. That doesn't mean I'll like it.

I'm an accepting fan and I haven't bashed it, because I'm waiting to actually see something. So far we have virtually nothing.

its great news that optimus will at least sound like him,. so relieved.
but a 4 foot soundwave. no. u got to be joking. thats a terrible decision.
he will be the laughing stock of the film.
i dont have high hopes for this movie. the only positive i have read is cullen being optimus.
everything else sound like transformers in name only.
it better not be a human story with fighting robots in the middle.
urghhhhh.
i am scared this film will be similar in vein to the live action dolph lundgren "masters of the universe"
where it was HE MAN in name only, with hollywood making up characters and making humans the focal pt of the story.
i fear this is what will happen.

Bay definitely get's a point for this move....although....I wonder how much of this move was a creative decision or selling point.

Wouldn't make much sense to bring in the voice of the G1 Tfs and then have the movie be TINO. We shall see.......

Frankly, If soundwave is four foot, I don't care...after all it does make sense...how else would they stay true to his G1 roots but still make him realistic? Have him be an entire nightclub's sound system???

Until I hear something extremely out of place...I'm stoked.

I'm kind of thinking that the IPOD will be one of soundwaves minions. That makes total sense to me instead of cassettes.
