Does the web browser now using Java Script mean Flash Player too?,With PS Plus coming to Vita and able to use the account on both a Vita&PS3 now it's the perfect time to become a member

Yeah just updated it,I'm on Vita's web browser typing this,Do I have to be a Plus subscriber to see the deals though?cause I can't see them

They PS Plus Games go up today when the PS Store updates

Browser is okay it's a little better then before but when going on IGN or Yahoo it takes a long time to load but browsing is a smoother

Got a question. Is there any way at all, to play custom music in any game, through custom firmwares? I'm kinda sleep depraved right now and instead of going to bed, I've decided to mess around with my PS3. I finally want to be able to play the Anime OST during my Naruto games.

I wouldnt even risk it out of fear of Sony banning my account and the PS3 no longer being usable for online play and access to the PS Store

Ok, 2nd best thing then, someone have a good sound setup? What do I need to get sound from my PC and PS3 through the same speakers?

Didn't wanna start a new thread for this so I'll ask here:

I was playing a game and my ps3 just cut off. I tried to turn it back on and nothing. So I did a hard power cut off and tried turning it back on and the system started to power back up then just cut off again. Any ideas?

Do you have a yellow light and/or blinking red lights?

yeah its dead. This most often happens bc of the thermal paste used in the older systems and you can either send it to Sony to get repaired or try a third party repairer who can do it for cheaper.

F**k, i figured that was the case. Eh its too late in the gen cycle to send it off for Sony for them to charge me 100 bux. Im pissed that my Uncharted 3 is stuck inside the damn machine tho.

Well if you are not going to repair it, I'm sure you could take it apart enough to the get disc out.

Its not $100. When that happened to me, it was actually $180 and I have no idea if they brought the price down. You can actually open up your system and try to repair it yourself. Theres some guides available online. Even if you don't go that far, you can still open up the system and get your disc out. That's what I did last time it happened to me and I just ended up buying one of those newer slims

Yea thats ridiculous. Thats prob what ill end up doing, just opening the system up to get the disc out. If i were to get a new PS3, how can i transfer my saves?

Unless you have used cloud saving via PS+ or backed them up on an external storage source, the only way to recover would be to get that PS3 fixxed unfortunately. Taking the HDD out and putting it in a new system would only format it as each drive is tied to one console and they cant be swapped in and out without a format. Im glad I had Plus when mine crashed on me bc it saved most of my saves

WTF? Jeezus that is f'ing bulls**t. Eh, guess im done with Sony for this gen.

Here is some info on it.

Don't Update Your PS3 Today! [Update: Firmware Pulled]

As of, oh, right now, there should be a prompt on your PS3 asking you to upgrade to 4.45. Whatever you do, don't accept it. Not yet, anyway.

We've started getting reports from some readers that the update is bricking their system, locking their consoles on the boot-up "ribbon" screen, and a thread on Sony's official forums shows the issue is far from isolated.

It's obviously not locking up everyone's console, far from it, but there are enough already affected that you won't want to roll the dice.

UPDATE: Sony has pulled the update, and will announce when it's been fixed and safe for download.

That is some quality testing that Sony did with this one

Sucks to hear about the firmware update bricking people's systems. My friend text me to be cautious and so I played offline until I read it was pulled. I'll probably be more cautious in the future as well.
