Power Rangers 4.0

Ya I know but usually there are like 5 bonus features, most dated and maybe 1 new. I just rather keep my hopes low so I can be happier when I see the final release info.

I'm in, just as long as they don't include those ****ty comic book effects for MMPR. That's the only series I care about, so they better get it right. :o:up:

It's the original series not the 2.0 MMPR

http://henshinjustice.com/2012/03/14/pr-dvd-deal-does-not-include-samurai-or-mmpr2010/

The deal for the mountain of shows is limited to the 1993-2009 run of the show, which excludes the very negative received 2010 re-edited version of the original Mighty Morphing Power Rangers and also currently airing Samurai/Super Samurai seasons, the license of the DVDs of these are unknown at this time. The rights also only extend to North America region, America and Canada, and Masked Rider was not included even though Saban does still own the rights to the show.

Also Legend War scenes HAVE been filmed for the eventual Power Ranger's version of "Gokaiger"

http://henshinjustice.com/2012/03/14/toei-filmed-power-rangers-legendary-war/

HH: 2012 is also the 20th anniversary of Power Rangers, isn’t it.

Suzuki: At first we got an offer from America to do something like “199 Heroes,” but of course Power Rangers started with Zyuranger, so the characters before that don’t exist. “So just get rid of those parts.” (laughs) We can’t do that either, so the discussion became “Let’s just film new footage with the 20 years’ worth that we do need.”

So Power Ranger's version will get this

scaled.php

Minus about 15 groups.

I think Richard Medina who's already played Cole in Wildforce and now plays Dekker in "Power Ranger's Samurai" will show up in 2013's Power Ranger series.

And it looking more likely that Tensou Sentai Goseiger will be skipped to capitalize on the Gokaiger anniversary/Power Ranger's anniversary aspects.

Why can that not happen ? Surely some of the popular ones would return ? Tommy, Adam at least comes to mind & maybe Jason ?

I just dont see it happening. Thus far they havent gotten same era cast members back together for the show. Only time we see them together is for cons.

Oh i get you primal i would hope for some good stuff. But like i said back a page at least for mmpr season 1 set they should have the unaired/alternate verisons of day of the dumpster, maybe the original ending for doomsday if they didnt extend to zyu2 stuff i think i heard that still exists. if not then not. Then at least some sort of interview with cast and crew from either the past or new. That i dont think is to out there of something to be on for at least 1st season set.

Then like i said i dont care what is on other non anni sets at most would probably be any deleted scenes or airing episodes that premired as one hr specials or seamless airs to be viewable that way/to a dual feature of seamless and non.

Then again at least for in space some feature on end of zordon era and the change to power rangers it brought and some featurette deal. Then toss in interview on forever red/its deleted scenes for wf set, and some interview/featurette for oo once a ranger. That is all i really like to see. Then other non big seasons like zeo, turbo, galaxy, lightspeed it can be spares on bonus stuff.

Also sweet news on confirmation of legendary war scene for us gokaiger i think we can put to rest the 2013 series will be gokaiger. Now i do hope they added original us made characters like titantum ranger, and the spirit rangers. To fill in a few more spots. As for us gokaiger season if they keep the whole tribute/giving powers from vet rangers. We have no clue who or who not will return for the series. Its not going to be impossible not to have anyone. The question is what contract deals actors would make even the nz era guys since almost all live stateside now. So if any of them come back it would be odd if no one from early saban era didnt too. Since it would be same travel/pay for them if they were to be sent to nz to shoot some stuff. All we really need to do is get at least one person per season/ 2 at the max to return. And out of the mmpr-wf guys there is plently of those actors who want to return or are willing to return. Then from nz era probably would be easy to get one person back too. Besides if they follow the hurriranger episode/tribute needing to get shane/tori/dustin actors all back.

I hope they just go straight to Gokaiger. Gokaiger = money.

it most likely will be. But they could always take goseiger and make it a mini series they shoot with gokaiger production. So they can do like a 10-13 episode mini with goseiger villains/suits which really the gosei cast would be more like just guest stars. Which could also lead them to use some of gosei vs shinken in gosei mini, along with taking parts of 199 heroes movie of gosei/gokaiger bits for a gosei tribute/cameo episode.

Which could be all shot first before they move fully into gokaiger filming. So that it could be handled like how alien rangers was a part of season 3. So we could essentally count 10+ episodes as a extra half to season 19th of super samurai. That i could see happening. Will it happen probably not. But it would suck a little to not use gosei at all. Cause we lose some gosei changes in show and the useage of 199heroes movie for gokaiger. To me making it a mini and be ten episodes and then go right into gokaiger could work. We get to kill two birds with one stone. And if samurai airing schedule ends any time between say july-oct.

And if 2013 series production does get under way by june the latest. Shooting a mini series for gosei which we know production is in a block deal and they shoot a few episodes over a span of a few days. They could knock out a gosei mini in a month's time give or take. Then they could also incorpdate the legend war as a epilog/cliffhanger ending for gosei mini. Then in gokai ep 1 we get a more extended look into the fight. Like we could see gosei rangers talking in finale about battle and then quick peak in it with past rangers not saying anything. So this gives more time to get some past rangers to record some audio bits that could be slapped onto gokaiger ep 1 and all that.

So then if they did the mini route and do ten episodes if samurai was over by early fall. We could then have nick air those ten episodes lets say for ten straight weeks in nov/dec period. Or they could make it a special week long event of new episodes airing mon-fri 2 episodes in one hr block lets say at 7pm slot and then that could happen anywhere from nov- maybe a few weeks prior to feb/march launch of the 2013 series.

I agree Webhead...I would like to see a summer mini series that could set the tone for the coming together of all these past Rangers. That would take money though...more than I think Saban has to spend right now.

I imagine a scene... of every Ranger having some device, that when it goes off, they know their being reactivated because something big is going down. They could use Adam and his amalgamated team (from PROO) as a catalyst for how past Rangers have started connecting together to begin forming a legion of Rangers.

As for the MMPR team...If Austin, Walter and David were willing to come back...cool. As for Kim and Trini...I'd have no problem with recast because Amy Jo ain't comin' back and Thuy, we all know, is gone.

Well from the way things look production should be getting under way by aug the latest june/july the earliest for production/filming. Counting how long new cating takes once it picks up fully shortly. So like I said if a mini was to happen for gosei it would take a month minium to do. With how block filming for pr goes. Which they hire gosei cast as special guest stars status. Shot plot for them along with doing gosei vs shinken footage along with gosei tribute ep taking biuts from 199 heroes movie. Then after that go bulk into regular gokai filming. So if filming was to take place between june or up to aug to start. And if gokai doesn't start airing to mid feb/early march 2013. I still think a mini series could be pulled off. Again counting how long nick drags out the remaining super samurai episodes. Now I hope for them to be done no later then sept/oct the latest.

So if that was to be the case and gosei was a mini and ready to go by this point. Either do ten straight. Weeks in nov/dec or dec/jan to pull them out. Or if nick wants to make it just a special event like I said before do a week hr block mon - fri and knock them out right before gokaiger starts airing. Then we could also toss gosei team into pr legend war and have it be cliffhanger ending for them and nicely ties it to gokaiger and there we go. So then this leaves them being able to keep gosei changes, use bits of the 199 heroes movie. And wouldn't need to alter silver gold mode.

I see no reason why Saban would just do a stand alone miniseries. They will never do that. They like to milk something as much as possible.

I hope they don't skip Goseiger. Not that I'm a fan of that season, it just seems like kind of a waste.

well it wouldnt be really a stand alone series, it could be treated to a degree like alien rangers for for 3rd season. so essentially in the stream of things would be counted as additional ten episodes under super samurai's 19th season standing. So that works out on having gosei in pr universe while also then keeping the season standing correct with gokaiger getting 20th season slot spot.

So then like i said they could within the ten episodes if it was ten episodes they take the best episodes/monsters from the 3 gosei groups come up with some original thing as a mini story. And go from there, do an episode in there ten episodes teaming with samurai cast(borrow gosei vs shinken footage). Who would be getting ready to do who ever guests in gokaiger filming. Then like i said above as closing scene in gosei mini after they defeat there threat. Could be start of the legend war and we see that start to happen. Then they could cut in mid battle or just after we see them stop the attack and cut to black and that leads right into gokaiger start.

I hope they don't skip Goseiger. Not that I'm a fan of that season, it just seems like kind of a waste.

There's no evidence they're skipping Goseiger.

All we know is they're filming a US version of the 'Legend War' for the 2013 season.

In Gokaiger, the Legend War didn't actually involve the Gokaiger team. It involved the Goseiger team. It was a prequel event to Gokaiger.

Also, we don't know if this could simply just be a midseason teamup special (like Forever Red) that would happen during the US Goseiger season. It could even be a flash forward like in Kamen Rider Decade.

I'm very skeptical they'll skip Goseiger.

It makes the most sense though for gokaiger to be the next series. Due to its theme and it will be 20th anni. Still to me I don't see why gosei couldn't still as I said be turned into a mini. They shoot gosei stuff first, then the bulk of gokaiger filming.

It can't be for two reasons:

1) PR in itself is basically a miniseries now. Just like all the other programming on Nick, PR is compressed into 20 episode season blocks. Whatever Sentai they are adapting will probably branch out to two years.

Saban is paying for the footage, he's going to want to use it all.

Nick isn't going to change this approach. They do this for ALL their shows and so far PR Samurai's ratings are solid enough for them to maintain this arrangement.

2) There's no way they can compress all of Goseiger's toy selling points into a mini series. There's so many headers, auxillary zords and weapons to shell out in Goseiger. Saban Brands and Bandai are really big on selling every specific toy.

So yes, it's not practical at all for them to adapt Goseiger as a mini series. It's more likely they'll turn Goseiger into the anniversary series. Knowing them, they'll try to make it very MMPR-like for better, or worse.

Also come on sure gosei could be made into anni show. Since its a blank series. But look at gokaiger doing tribute cameos, and powers to turn into any rangers make more sense to be anni show. Why make gosei anni and then do gokaiger later.

Gosei they can just reduce into mini by taking its best elements/episodes. Also just cause they had many toy lines for sentai. They could for pr just do one line of rangerss/x villain. Then maybe a second line going into gokaiger line. Or bandai us could just also release toys that don't be used in show to make a buck off things not used. If they did mini.

The thing is thought we have no clue if samurai spilt seasons format will be the norm now. Or if it was just saban and/or nick decision off the bat. We knew going in samurai was to last two yrs, and we know saban wanted to rebrand the franchise and get it in public eye again. And to sorta play off mmpr long time but without shooting extra zyu2 like stuff.

There is no reason why pr can't air 30-40 episodes in 8-10month format it had done for most of its broadcast run. So untill we know episode count and airing format. I wouldn't take what happen to samurai to be how pr is for good.

It just delays production on future series, becomes issues for getting props/suits from toei if they have to hold things off. Plus I am sure with there deal with footage from sabban they want to make money quicker. Then there is bandai america that would have to delay toy lines that would be prime to go off japan molds and have to extend/make new waves of toys. There is a lot behind the scenes we don't know.

I still personally think the series could and will go back to the one series= one season. To air in one yr format. Yes no NICK show has ep counts like pr. But if they can do shows like house of anubis and what have you. No reason pr can't air 40 episodes in time span I said above.

All they need to do is like 3 times do hr airing during season. For season premire, finale, teamup special. There you knock 6 episodes out in three days. Then air rest of season every week. With a short 1-2 month break in the middle no 4+ one samurai had. And u can air 40 episodes in no time. Plus with pr shooting schedule normally and episodes almost half series/close to full series in can before airing. Any network who airs the show has something new all yr they can play. When there other shows are in breaks/hiatus periods.

There's plenty of reasons why PR can't be aired in the way you suggest.

When has Nick ever done that with any of their kids shows?

House of Anubis is a teen soap/drama by Nick's definition. Completely different.

PR is in the kids shows group, which all conform to the 20 episode format.

Also, if they use Goseiger footage, they have to pay for the WHOLE season. There's no way Saban will just use bits and pieces. It would be a complete waste.

All i am getting at we have no 100% proof that pr for now on will be for one series spilt into two seasons. There was/is alot of factors in samurai case that wont be the case for later series. Now YES nick shows are like as you said. But nick isnt producing the show they have no control on production end of the show. They are just the us/most of the world's right holding in AIRING episodes. There is still chance future series can be aired in a one season/one yr format again. That is all i was getting at. We just have no information on what 2013 episode count is and even farer away from knowing its schedule.

As for gosei we have no clue how much it is in contract deal between toei and saban brands on buying footage. Just cause he may buy the bulk(ie full season) it doesnt mean that all the footage will be used. I only brought up things they can do with gosei if they plan to make gokaiger be next series but still be able to use gosei in some form and still then be able to use gosei footage changes from gokaiger itself.

Whether its saving civilians from physically crippling insults, mastering new Megazords and Beetle Cannons, the Rangers must do whatever it takes to bring down the Nighloks. But soon a mysterious new enemy appears on the horizon, intent on battling Jayden. Who will prevail?

With the recent announcement that Saban Brands had signed a deal with Shout! Factory to release all the Power Rangers shows on DVD from 1993's Mighty Morphin' to 2009's R.P.M., fans of the most recent incarnation of the long-running program have been wondering about 2011's Power Rangers Samurai. Well, we've got good news for you! However, it may be a bit of a surprise when you learn it will be coming from another studio.

Today, Lionsgate Entertainment informed retailers that June 19th will see the releases of both Power Rangers Samurai - Vol. 1: The Team Unites and Power Rangers Samurai - Vol. 2: A New Enemy. Each single-disc release runs 92 minutes, and costs $14.98 SRP per title. These items are presented in widescreen video, with English 5.1 Dolby Digital audio, and closed captioning. Package art for each of them is seen below, showing off the new team in uniform.

Noticeably missing from the front of the boxes, though, is fan-favorite character "Farkas 'Bulk' Bulkmeier," played by Paul Schrier...who originated "Bulk" in the first episode of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and continued as a regular recurring cast member all the way through the end of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy (and who also briefly appeared in the legendary "Forever Red" episode of Wild Force). Well, it's great to know that Bulk's back for Samurai, even if he's not on the cover art! Maybe he's on the back of the box? Time will tell.
