Power Rangers 4.0

I just briefly read up on it. Schedule wasn't released yet but some shows seemed to be confirmed while others will stop airing for good.

Anyways back to Power Rangers, it seems like the girls are definitely an upgrade in terms of looks. Both of them looked better than the Power Rangers Samurai.
With regards to the guys, I'll reserve judgement until we see the full cast.

I just hope they gell well together and seems they all have some solid backgrounds. Now let's hope the writers this time don't make them kid it up if you get my drift.

Saban should...and I'm sure he's going to...put some popular toons among his morning block. The more attention to this new block, the better for PR to ensure its foothold as one of the premier kids shows of all time.

I just wish PR was being filmed in the states again to complete this wave of nostalgia I'm feeling for PR lately...it'd be more convenient for me to apply for a job on the writing staff too...

Ya would be cool but its still cheaper filming it nz then stateside. As for the cw block I am sure in time we will see other classic shows or new stuff come in all up to saban brands getting rights to things.

As for wwe on cw block I don't see where anything wwe would go. Usa/universal/nbc pretty much has hold on them with raw and smackdown. Wwe doesn't really have any other shows going on. Besides some web stuff and special stuff on the ppv/wwe channel.

So has any one got 40 disc set yet? Mine came in the mail today. Was sweet getting it. First thing I did was read the seasonal books, and watched the bonus features discs. Man was great seeing a lot of old school stuff like promos, fan club vids, and the new cast/crew interviews. One thing in the zeo-lost galaxy set book they totally forget trey/jason gold ranger, Blue Senturion, and dimirtia in there.

It was confirmed another set will be coming in the future. They said it will most likely be LSR-WF but NinjaStorm may be with it aswell though I prefer them sticking with the 3 season sets since NS-SPD all go together with the cross overs.

The official cast for Power Rangers Megaforce was revealed today at Power Morphicon 3. We would like to personally congratulate the new team and wish them all of the best as they represent Power Rangers in the 20th anniversary.

1. The previous cast and current cast look almost identical. Like I had to do a double take at first.

2. It is getting kind of tiresome of them always useing the same ethnicticies as the same color. A black guy is mostly always blue now just so they avoid a black person being a black ranger, a white girl is always yellow, asian/something close always pink, latino of some sort as black and of course majority of the time white guy is red or white.

3. I am going to be extremly dissapointed if they are cheap this season and dont come up with an original villan that isnt from the Sentai.

4. Going to be mad as hell if when we get to the legend war it isnt mainly american footage.

Ya the ethinic thing is a pain the the butt. They should hire who ever for what ever role. As for villains it was already confirmed they are using gosei villains but the blue guy from gosei looks to be the main villain for pr take. I would say we get original villain for gobuster series. Since we only have enter/escape which would likely be recast and just be generals to an original boss.

Legend war it been said long time they will be reshooting it to gget rid of the pre teams. Since either toei hasn't shot it yet and megaforce just starting production soon. They had no us/nz footage to use. So they use only senati footage.

Well thats dissapointing to know. How are you going to celeberate the 20th anniversry and not even go all out with atleast the villan? PR has seemed to regressed instead of going forward.

I have no clue so much is unknown how they are mixing gosei and gokaiger footage. And what will and won't be used. Maybe we can get an original guy for some part of megaforce. But since they have so many guys from both shows I don't have issue using them in pr take.

Now sure I love me original villains. But personally with what gosei/gokai has we don't really need one here. Where as gobusters has a floating head for head guy. I can easily see them creating something original there.

Watching the bonus features and I wish they would bring back the MMPR team even if it is a mixture of Originals/replacements (Zack/Kat/Tommy/Aisha/Rocky)

Now i will post this with the understanding that Tsuyoshi Nonaka explicitly told us that these are NOT NOT NOT NOT official drawings, but something he has been toying around with for the future of SS/PR, behold!!!! (sorry for the bad quality, I had to wrestle my phone out when i saw these. But if anyone has higher resolution versions, which i'm pretty positive about, please post them for others to enjoy!)

I agree with Primal Slayer, it is sort of messed up how the "Samurai' and "Megaforce" cast look almost identical.

Ya but nothing we can do about it really saban wants a diverse cast and I guess he doesn't see it a probably as long as he has that diversity in cast so they don't get into any legal snapfus from casting folks and what not.

My hope though for the show is that since we know it will be a 20/20 spilt of first season of gosei and second season of gokaiger footage. That they do it like this.

With season one we have original footage/story with the footage from gosei they will use. Since there was 3 villain groups in gosei. I can see a nice spilt of 6 episodes for monster footage per each gosei villain group. This gives us then two episodes that can be either random filler episode or a way to throw in past rangers getting contacted. And we can have the megaforce villains be a scout group for gokaiger villain waiting in the wings to earth is ready to be invaded.

So then we close out season one with mega battle. With our reshot legend war. Which I do hope they give us some logical reason for the tommy issue and the turbo/space switching casts. Then we have it like gosei/gokaiger did everyone looses powers in the end. Wee close out with just seeing the megaforce group demorph(if they don't have other past actors on set) wondering what to do now.

Then we open the second season with the gokaiger villain arriving and attacking the earth. And the rangers wondering what to do. And my three idea here are:
1. Gosei there mentor jusst magically wipes outs new powers/zord and the ship. I hope they don't go this route.
2. The ship arrives from deep space and they find the new zords/powers on there own. And they use the powerrs and what not. And we go from there.
3. Pirate silver owns the ship and powers(filling akared/gokai red spot here) and like trbo to space gives the rangers the pirate powers and access to the ship. And they can go some bs route he can't morph or use his zord for some reason so they can get through a few episode footage without silver ranger/his zords.

Or we could say silver ranger his zord and the ship came from. Timeforce future and was sent to the present as a backup if the rangers lost the big war. And when powers lost signal was found by tf future it was trigger and sent. Would give a good backstory for silver ranger and can have him be a ranger fanboy still and a good story for silver rangers zords coming from tf future and all.

So then second season we just use the pr season episose footages. Since pre teams will be gone. And this would give us about 16 team/power episodes to do. Which then leaves about 4 episodes for filler/random one off episodes. Also counting on mega blue and black ranger character traits maybe switch there colors when getting pirate powers(counting of course how they have black/blue act in season one to fit blue/green in gokai footage). And there you go a nice, simple way to handle both series footage.

UH. Black Ranger was such a weird choice.
I thought they were planning to get a silver ranger? I remember both previous black ranger and silver ranger looked better than the current black ranger.

So far I really like the new red, blue, yellow and pink rangers.
Black ranger was a disappointment though.

There is a silver 6 ranger for megaforce too aas gosei did. They yet revealed actor for role yet. We will probably learn about him shortly. If its an actor like rest. Or like gosei they keep him morph full time.

Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (獣電戦隊キョウリュウジャ&#12540! Trademarks for what seems to be next Super Sentai series seems to be have registered under the ID 2012-65209! Jyuden consists of the two kanji characters, beast and electricity, while kyoryu means dinosaur. So the next Sentai series is most likely another dinosaur based show.
