San Diego Comic Con is happening right this second and the Power Ranger 20th Anniversary Panel just wrapped up. Want to know what’s happening with Gokaiger?

In attedence for the event was the actors who played Bulk from the classic era, Jayden, the current Red Samurai Ranger, Tony Oliver who played various voices and has written and produced episodes from Mighty Morphin’ to Zeo, Elie Deker, president of Saban Brands and host by Brian Ward who worked on the soon to be released DVD sets for Shout!Factory. The other half of the comedic duo, Skull crashed the panel and received a roar from the crowd and the pair spent the rest of the time making everyone laugh.

One of the highlights of the panel was a young girl asking if there will ever be a female Red Ranger, to which the entire audience cheered. They answered yes, but couldn’t say how, most likely indicating at Princess Shinken Red character set to appear in upcoming Super Samurai episodes. They stated that Mega Force will be split up into two seasons like it’s predecessors with the tag Super for the latter season and is definitely is the anniversary season of the show. However, Gokaiger will be used in the second season, but wouldn’t part with any details as to what.

Someone asked about the possibilities of getting the Japanese Super Sentai shows on DVD, but promptly said no.

Sounds like the pr panel was good. But man I really hate this spilting sentai series into two smaller pr seasons. I really like to see the old format return then this. And as much as I didn't want goseiger be next. It kinda sounds silly they will do a mix/match as it sounds for megaforce 2nd season. Why bother to do that then. When it would have been better to just go with gokaiger now and all that. What ever happens I hope it turns out well.

I know I really like to see one full 30-40 episode season in one yr format. I still can't see why nick wants to go this bs spilting show up format. When they would have something new to air all yr long. Or if 40 is to much drop episode count back to 32.

Power Rangers Megaforce

Power Rangers Megaforce is the confirmed name for the next season of Power Rangers. The season will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Power Rangers. The Official Press Release has confirmed that Power Rangers Megaforce will be based on Goseiger.

Power Rangers Megaforce will be a completely new and original storyline based on 5 high school teenagers saving the world. The show will continue to use Sentai footage, but the story will be original. This will be the anniversary season. Power Rangers Megaforce will surprise fans. The 2014 season will also be "crazy". RoboKnight (also known as GoseiKnight from Goseiger) will make an early appearance in the show. An article in Kidscreen confirms that historic Rangers will make an appearance in Power Rangers Megaforce. Thanks goes to Tommy Lawson (RangerCrew) for finding the article.

The second season will feature Gokaiger content. There is no confirmation whether the Gokaiger suits and morphers will be used to morph into the past rangers. We may see Goseiger suits in both seasons.

Five high school students are called upon by the all-knowing Gosei to defeat a new evil determined to destroy planet Earth. They will become Power Rangers Megaforce. Using their cards, they will unlock all-new weapons, zords, and megazords. The battle has never been greater. The villains have never been more dangerous. And the Power Rangers have never been so strong.

Unlike Power Rangers Samurai, there will be last names and a city name in Power Rangers: Megaforce.

The mentor's name is Gosei, which was named based on the fact that the cards have the word "Gosei". We may be seeing the return of the Goseiger Cards. No confirmation on new cards, but we may be seeing them if Power Rangers Megaforce is a hybrid.

For centuries, groups of brave warriors known as Power Rangers have been called upon to protect our world from evil. Now, the future of humankind rests in the hands of a few ordinary teens with one extraordinary destiny. The 20th Season of Power Rangers will include flashbacks, weapons, and characters from previous seasons, and promises to be the most exciting season yet!

Power Rangers Megaforce premieres early 2013 with 22 episodes including holiday specials. The second season of Power Rangers: Megaforce will have the same number of episodes.

Power Rangers Megaforce Graphic Novels

Papercutz will be releasing two Power Rangers Megaforce Graphic Novels next year. Power Rangers Megaforce Issue 3 "Gamer's End" will be released in January and Issue 4 "Panic in the Parade" will be released in April. You can pre-order both issues on Amazon. The cover and descriptions confirms a few names, including Theo as one of the Megaforce (or returning) Rangers and Admiral Malkor as the primary villain. Issue 3 "Gamer's End" Ranger Theo heads to a gaming con to cheer one of his buddies. But Creepox is there, and he lures Theo into a back room to show him a new video game that looks suspiciously like the convention floor. Unfortunately for the Rangers, it is not a game at all - the fight is on, and it's being unwittingly controlled by their friend!

Issue 4 "Panic in the Parade" Why is the Yellow Ranger missing while her friends engage in an epic showdown with one of Admiral Malkor's minions? Is the villain somehow using the most innocent Ranger as part of an even deadlier plan?

I do hope jdf appears in either megaforce series. He was one of my all time fav rangers. And due to his long history as a ranger I can't see anni not having something tommy related. I doubt he return for a lot of episodes probably just 1-3 episodes

I hope it will and saban and crew namely john t has looked at what fans didn't like in samurai and with all the extra time they hae had developing megaforce I hope it turns out good.

The one thing I hope for though with the using of gosei for season one and gokaiger in season two. That we actually see the keys and pirate suits. The best deal would be closing season one with the legendary battle and lose of all ranger powers. So getting the gokai suits/keys would be the smart move and all. Cause I don't see the point in then having to reshoot megazord cockpit footage and all that since we need to have galleon and all. Plus also redoing all ground fights too from pirate mode.

If we are going by ep count I believe tommy, then billy, then bulk, with adam, jason rounding out.

As for mmpr era one cast yea likely only ones who would come back is austion, jdf, walter. David likely not with his past issues with old/former crew members, and kimberly actress with her having a much better post pr career then most former rangers. Then out of season two/three mmpr I would like to see rocky/adam/kat/aisha/tayna come back. Still if we do cameos in gosei footage/gokaigerr footage we only really need to nab at least one guy/girl per series. And with that would be who wants to return/asked to return.

JDF was on the show for 5 seasons. Then appeared on Forever Red. And returned for a 6th season with Dino Thunder. Of all the Rangers, he has done the most. No question about it.

I've seen the movie with the team-up of Goseiger and GoKaiger. It was great. The fights in GoKaiger were sick. This year is the 20th Anniversary of Zyuranger and next year is the 20th anniversary of MMPR. I expect appearances of past Rangers in this new PR series, Megaforce, next year. It doesn't sound like they'll use GoKaiger in terms of the suits, but rather the anniversary theme to it.

Well most of the news running news for the season hasn't totally said the suits won't happen. Plus you got to think gosei filming stuff is starting up in a month or so. So we probably won't know about gokai suits to early next yr. I think it would be foolish to skip over the keys and gokaiger suits. When we know the pirate ship and past zord addons will be used. It would be just silly to remmake all megazord cockpit stuff again. And to waste more time reshoot ground fights with gosei suits before changing to past rrangers with gokaiger monster fights. I still think it will play out gosei/megaforce season one end with legendary war. All past rangers and the gosei suit powers arre lost. Then mmegaforce teamm learns of a hidden power source/backup powers. Which is the gokai suits/keys and we go there.
