Well color me surpised its going to be gosei. When before it looked like gosei was going to be skipped. A lot of top news guys on prr boards wherre even going with it being dropped or used in a minor way.

I am totally shocked they are going with gosei for anni yrl I don't see much sense in that. When gokaiger is ripped for anni celebration more. With team turning into past teams and all that. And having past actors return possibly. Boy what is saban thinking here.

For YEARS, I've been saying PR should end. The franchise needs a nice break. And then, try to bring it back as a proper big screen adaptation. Hasbro is doing wonders with Transformers, a franchise that was dead for almost a decade. People got excited when it came back in a grand fashion. Secondly, PR has made the mistake of staying the course. It has always been, more or less, the same cheesy show. So, it's a franchise that most people don't take seriously. It's a silly show and always has been. So, they should take some cues from Ninja Turtles. That franchise had big success with the goofy `87-96 series. But in 2003 they decided it was time for a more serious and mature series. And that worked wonders for them. It's shocking that PR has been on the air for 20 years, but it also can't be ignored they've pulled that off by taking the easy route.

Well, I think one of the problems is that while Saban owns the rights of Power Rangers, it is still a franchise that ports from the Japanese toku show Super Sentai, so I'm sure they still have to adhere to the terms of their agreement. With that said, though, Disney has proved that they can work within the confines of the series by delivering something like RPM, so Saban can probably do the same if they really want to.

To mean this is a really wtf move here. Since orriginally it did look like gosei was to be next early/mid last yr. And then there was reports. Of them possibly using megaranger scripts. Which lead to that speculation of a video game theme for gosei(which I really liked the idea for it). And then there was rumors that saban didn't like the angel aspect of gosei..

Which then we got deep into casting last yr with cast nearly locked in. And up comes the news iris the casting director suspended casting. Cause they where going to work more on creative decisions, and anni stuff.

Which lead to waiting and waiting. And now reading the press release I read sounds like another copy of gosei just dropping angel stuff. So what was the point of the delay of production if they ultimately was going to go with gosei.

Plus still come on gokaiger with past team appearances/turning into past teams seems the best thing to celebrate anni over what ever gosei would have been. Really like to know why saban wants to delay gokaiger now.

Plus when it was also said toei was reshooting legend war many thought and many top in the know guys thought that was another nail in that it would be gokaiger.

Only plus side to delaying gokaiger right now is. We will at least get to do a gosei power tribute episode. And we can use the gosei powers/power ups and gosei knight. So gokaiger silver wouldn't have to be altered and they could use the super mode scene for gokaiger finale.

The Legend War thing will probably be another "Clash of the Red Rangers" type special during Megaforce.

I'm more worried about it not making sense and only featuring morphed rangers. Since JDF refused to do voicework for it, I hope they don't give generic voice impressions to certain rangers.



Honestly, the video games Megaranger concept for Goseiger/Megaforce sounded 100x better than this, and that was developed six months ago.

This sounds lazy. It sounds like the Samurai formula exactly copied all over again, mixing a Sentai translation with MMPR nostalgia. Lacks originality and creativity.

It even sounds like they're using Mega Modes again. I think Saban Brands considers PR:S as a success and aren't interested in improving their horribly flawed product.

Well if the legend war thing is going to be a thing I rather it be apart of the season finale for gosei/megaforce. Which then like how it worked in gokai premire tie nicely into start for that series.

As for the jdf stuff I read before we don't even know what the real deal with that was. And really I can't see legend war being turned into a special. When I bet all they shot for saban was like a 5 min battle squence. Can't really see that stretched out for a special.

I rather it just be a apart of megaforce finale and go from there. But in the case if its a special/or for finale. If that's the case we likely won't see it used to late next yr/some time following year if they keep the bs 2 yr forrmat crap. So if past rangers are appearing/have a speaking role for said scene(s) they would have plently of time to still get who ever to record a few lines. Its not like its airing next week and they don't have time.

As for powerups I don't really see the need for that for gosei. When they alrready have the gosei armor thing. And I don't see anything to need to reformat zord cockpit. Gosei/gokaiger cockpits, and gobusters have generic cockpits. So if they want to shoot some original stuff there. I rather they just remake set. Heck there has been times ns/spd I know of remaking set. There was probably some others. But I hope they don't do that.

I can't wait to see megaforce poster get online tomorrow from the vegas licensing expo. As for megaforce hopefully they have a better cast then the bottom of barrell they had for samurai. If we can get some more like mike actor and less mia/kevin actor I be happy.

The megamodes are to sell toys. That's basically it. They aren't logical on the show. Even the Shogun Ranger turned out to be another cockpit-only deal.


And the Megaforce finale would be towards the end of 2014... by then it would be too late to use the Legend War footage. It wouldn't be the anniversary anymore.

More bad news. According to RangerWisdom on RB, who's quite reliable, Nick doesn't like the Samurai cast.... not because of acting, but because they're "too old."

Nick is supposedly pushing for much younger cast members to line up with the ages of the actors on their other shows.

:/ ICarly Rangers? The end is near.

Boy that is a load of crap. Why should nick care. Hell most of the time cast is anywhere from 18-24 yrs old. And what it matter on age when after said show is over cast is replace for next series.

Heck looking at the current live action nick shows all the teen actors are roughly 18-22 yrs old. So what's wrong with pr age range. Plus there is work laws and what not production has to work with. Which isn't that reason any shows hire 20somethings to play teens.

Nick's Kid show lineup has had plenty of kid actors younger than 18.

For example, something like the cast of Supah Ninjas is probably what they want. :/

And....

Two Tommies. Not a good sign.

I wouldn't be surprised if the people who made that didn't even know Tommy was Zeo Red as well.

It is some nice art work and surpising the set is indeed being spilt into two sets technically. Even though its one ultra set. Definately can't wait for its release and see what the bonus stuff has and having the old series on dvd finally.

This is fine for a promo poster, but it concerns me that they're just going to use the old suits carelessly without consideration of the characters and logic.

I'm getting MMPR whether it's in volumes or complete set. Shout Factory has done a great job with the Tranformers and I'm confident they'll do a great job with the Power Rangers. I predict that MMPR will sell out like hotcakes.

I think that's because Tommy was more popular as the White Rangers.

I can't speak for newer generations, but the original fans prefer Green Ranger. So, if they wanted to play up the nostalgia card, they should have used Green Ranger. Also, I don't like how the American costumes are used for the individual sets. They look cheap. For cover art, always stick to Japanese photos or animated.
