For the next 'Predators' movie, could they use a better cinematographer?
i enjoyed the movie. although the "predator dog" werent my fav part
dumb question time: I have not seen the movie does Predators use any of the Alan Silvestri "Predator 1/2" music ques at all?

Yes, John Debney used several of Silvestri's cues from Predator.
Debney used most of the major motifs from both movies.
^Yeah I know what you mean, heck, I could have done without the mud also and just have him using fire to confuse the heat signature's, I think at times it did go a bit far with the homages, but it was still a good movie, personally though I cant decide whether I enjoy this or Pred 2 more.
Also, one thing confusing me in Predators is how/why Royce loses his gun, he has it when they leave the mining facility but when they climb out of the hole it is suddenly gone, I dont get it, he seemed to still have ammunition so why dump it when its a very effective weapon?
good observation, I never noticed that, I always thought when he was getting ready to grab it thats when the berserker attacked and he didnt have time to grab it.
While we are talking observations...what about the fact that when Topher's character steps into a "bear trap" he's maimed to the point he can barely walk, while shortly after, he is able to walk without bellowing in pain or limping....Was he faking it?
No, he just seems to lose it at some and we never find out why, its not even in the deleted scene's, hopefully he manages to get it back for the sequel.
I suppose for this one you could use the excuse he was faking it, as he didnt want to leave the planet and being the sick guy that he is he probably wanted to test Isabelle and Royce to see if any of them would help given the chance. I did notice that one myself and jumped to the same conclusion as you.
Well the Beserker did just kill another Predator and blew up a ship, he probably figured he earned himself a smoke break.
I loved the movie, but as others have said the inconsistency of the Predator dogs threw me off. I liked the idea behind them, but it was just weird seeing one take a full on arsenal and then another get downed with one shot.
Highlight of the movie had to be the Predator/Yakuza fight for me. That was pure bad ass.
lol thats a great image in my head.
about the dogs, you know I thought the same thing, when the russian is firing the mini gun it just keeps coming slowly and the sniper takes one shot and bam.
the yakuza fight was awesome because of the simplicity of it. It was great because it wasnt too flashy with guns and explosions, just a simple one on one with 2 swords and it just had a sense of honor around it. It was nice to see one of the predators have a sense of honor unlike the other 2.
maybe the mini gun did nothing cause it wasn't hitting any vital parts of the animal, and the sniper hit it at the right spot.
good point also maybe Im off my rocker but in the end with the ship I have a timing question, when the ship is revealed via an overhead shot. the ship looks to be about maybe 20 feet from the camp but yet it takes royce and the berserker predator forever to reach it. like take this for example, after the berserker beats the other predator he runs after the ship. now during this time royce comes back and does what he does to edwin and even has time to put mudd all over his body and rig a camp to catch on fire. all of that in the time it takes the berserker to walk back.
Also I saw it mentioned that Laurence Fishborne was a negative for this movie, I just wanted to say that I thought he was hilarious. His little side conversations had me rolling.
