Yeah I'm sure all those kids watching serials all day back in the day were perfectly well behaved.

Indeed. We must never lose the theater experience. It is essential. I'm not a traditionalist, but the theater experience is more than tradition. It's a collective unity of people sitting down and experiencing the same thing experiencing different emotions and opinions. That is something special that must never go undone.

It will be a sad day when I can no longer walk into a movie theater. I've had some bad experiences but nothing can top the good ones. I usually go in the late evening to avoid teenagers. Also I like seeing a movie opening day and something I started last year , midnight showings. It's always great to be in a crowd that actually wants to see the movie.
Also you can't have the IMAX experience at home.

Never been to a midnight show. They don't interest me much. I have reasoning behind it, it's just hard to describe and sounds very strange.

I'm sure there were plenty of issues back then but at least they weren't armed with laser pointers and cell phones.

I'm sure. Midnight films are next to IMAX as the greatest way to see a film.

No one aside from fans are going to see a movie at 12, and be out by 2-3am.

Predators was probably the best I ever saw. Everyone was CHEERING. It was unreal.

^ I went to a midnight show of Ghostbusters once. It was great to see it in theaters but the crowd was really drunk and obnoxious.

Those are the best! Unless they don't care about the film.

But for midnight flicks, you're paying for the film and the audience. The entire expereince of seeing a film.

I can't forget when I went to revenge of the fallens midnight premier. When Optimus Prime went total badass on the decepticons in the forest the whole audience exploded in excitement. It was awesome.

I almost saw it at midnight...but I got the ticket for the wrong theater.

My friends ended up in one theater, I ended up in another. It sucked. Had to wait till the next day. Then finally saw it. 3 times in the next 3 2 days. :D

And yes...I did do it willfully. And no, I was not pissy about it. :D

No, they were armed with Red Ryder BB guns and slingshots instead.

"HEY KID, YOU'LL POKE YER EYE OUT WITH THAT THING"

^lol ,nice one.

I love that , sometimes the crowds are almost as good as the film . I remember at the start of Captain America people cheered the Marvel logo. Luckily they calmed down for most of the film though.

That would've been awesome. I almost wish I was there with you. Almost, because I'm sure I would've copped the biggest 'I told you so' after being proven wrong about the film! :woot:

I've cooled to it since its release, but I still think it's a good addition to the franchise.

In the Age of Internet feelings are binary, you either love or hate.

I'll be honest...i'm becoming less and les inclined to go to the movies. It has to be something pretty big to pull me in now. Like the Marvel movies or some big Sci-fi or fantasy film. But little else can pull me in. I prefer to watch most at home now.
