Prometheus - Part 2

I can't believe what I am reading on this last page, we desperately need the trailer.

There was nothing at all bad.

Children's toys aren't made from R-Rated films, Alien would still be R, and there's no such thing as Watchmen Children costumes....

I never said it was "bad" I was merely pointing out the fact that it reeked of "We need a trailer!!!!" discussion.

Well save for the "birth" scene, Alien would be PG-13 today. As long as there aren't many explicit chest bursting scenes, I don't see Prometheus being anymore toned down, which is fine by me.

Alien is still definitely an R, even by 2011 standards. It's not just the gore that gave it that rating; there's also a ton of f-bombs. And as others have stated, sometimes the tone of a movie is so definitely mature/adult that the MPAA gives it an R. All those things --- gore, cussing, sexuality, mature themes --- give it the R rating.

@CelticPredator

Why do you so hardly defend the untrue fact that R-Rated films cannot have toylines? Thats rubbish. Even Inglourious Basterds has toy figures.

You mean the Hot Toys figure? The one I have on my shelf? You mean the one that costs 150 bucks?

That one?

I said they cannot have toylines marketed to CHILDREN.

^ You can go out and by a 10 dollar watchmen figure. Don't act like its just prestige collector's crap.

Also you spent 150 bucks on an Inglourious Basterds figure?

MacFarlane Toys has made a killing with the Alien, Predator, and AVP franchises. This is important because the action figures can be found in Toys R Us or any entertainment/comic/film store. While they are not marketed for children, they are placed within immediate access of children.

First official Prometheus poster arrives

Wow that's really great.

Pretty strong allusion to the first poster for Alien.

Everything associated with this film has been pure win so far, even that Nerf gun.

But it is collector's crap. It's not marketed to kids in any way shape or form.

And damn right I paid 150 bucks for this...:awesome:

Kids toys get commercials, and or isle endcaps. They make sure kids will see the newest product.

They put all that in the collector's isle.
