Prometheus - Part 5

What interests me about this is the little things awell... why is she covered in what looks like mud. We already know the trailer has desaturated the blood for a lower rating, is that what this is? Blood?

Hmm looks like blood to me. But there is no wounds. Maybe she has been spewing it up? Which is even nastier really haha.

I wonder what the heck is going on in this scene. It seems to be David in the middle of that planetary map we've seen close ups in the trailer but if you look closely you see the Space Jockey walking in the background towards the left as if nothing is really happening. This is from the second t.v spot by the way.

Why would both of them be so at ease with each other? Very strange.

Perhaps, The Jockey promises David the secret knowledge of the universe in return for betraying the crew or something. Who knows... can't wait to find out, though...

Oh man that's some real, Lovecraftian, nasty ****. If anything like that happens it's gotta be Rated R.

Found it.

Apparently, some folks online seem to think that Shaw
has given birth to this creature

IMO, it doesn't look like it's attacking her, it looks like it's suspended and writhing on some sort of clamp or claw.

huh, I thought it was a facehugger of a sort

Well there's an Umbilical attached from her stomache to it aswell.

This has all been done before though I wish it was completely different.

Also a slug/worm really what were they thinking?

Maybe its the chestburster before it get's "bio-mechanoid", that's why there's no teeth on it or anything.

I still think she turns into the final Space Jockey that sitting in that machine!

That'd be a crazy twist :wow:

haha true. But i think poor old Elizabeth Shaw is in for something particularly nasty. From the footage of her staggering around covered in blood, that gif you posted. Seems to me something really horrible will happen. I think we might be going into weird "body horror" type stuff, which really freaks me out.

Looks like a squid. Considering it's being held in the clamp or whatever it is, and what seems to be an umbilical cord, I think she gave birth to it (which is disturbing).

But considering the rumors about seeing the Xenomorph "ancestors" or "prototypes" in this movie, it may well be some sort of Facehugger forerunner.

But yea, I am getting the feeling the most disturbing, messed-up crap in the movie is gonna happen to Shaw.

As if giving birth to an alien squid isn't enough.

Yeah, I think she's going to be like John Hurt's character in Alien except whatever really bad thing happens will occur in the third act. There's a shot in the TV spot of her kissing the other scientist. If he's already infected....what if that thing is what comes out. What if it becomes the Space Jockey somehow?

I know it's kind of Jeff Goldblum's The Fly meets Alien but I could see it going in that direction.

So it is really Shaw inside that little chamber with the alien baby? It looks as if she was put there purposefully so she can give birth to that...thing. It is even held tightly by a cramp or some device above her. I think it is probably extremely disturbing to watch it in the theatre.

Ugh just thinking about that... thing... being "birthed" is making me ill. All that kind of weird body horror crap freaks me out big time.

If you watch the imax trailer you see that shaw is behind a glass hiding from something and then a gray tail/tentacle hits the glass, maybe that's the thing she gives birth to all grown up.

A new monster... as tantalising an idea as that sounds, they have to be very careful.

*Flashbacks to this and shudders:

The best thing about Alien Resurrection? When that abomination got sucked out a tiny hole into space. Oh, and Michael Wincott, owner of the coolest voice ever. EVER

Newborn was a cute little fella. :hrt:

Actually it was horrifying nightmare fuel. :(

Gotta love the Lovecraft vibe going on here .
