I think it's gender. The orange piping seems to outline the bust in a corset-type pattern. So I suppose its just aesthetic, really.

Because part of the movie takes place inside of a computer. And the rules established in Tron dictate such a thing.

The suits with the orange piping are the emergency suits. Charlize and Noomi were filming scenes that are later in the film. Noomi and Charlize wear both suit variants at different points throughout the movie.

What do we think those pod/vases are? They look too perfect and hand made as opposed to the organic egg pods for the Alien series.
