I actually did a bit more research on the time between this film and A L I E N.

P R O M E T H E U S takes place in 2085.

A L I E N takes place in 2122.

2122 - 2085 = 37 years

So, technically, it would be closer to 40 years instead of 30.

RATINGS and running times have been officially unveiled for upcoming movies including Ridley Scott's Prometheus.

Official 2 Hour 3Min. Run Time

Released in 2D and 3D on June 1, 2012, the Alien spin-off has been awarded a 15 certificate by the British Board of Film Classification on the basis that it "contains strong violence, gore, threat and horror." The running time is 123 minutes (2 hours and 3 minutes).

That's pretty close to what Ridley Scott said it would be a few weeks ago. Nice to have it confirmed.

That's a good Lindelof interview. Didn't really reveal too much about the movie, but it's interesting how Lindelof came into being involved.

The trailer played before Avengers last night, and the audience was full of young kids. Needless to say by the end of the trailer there were more than a few hiding their faces and giving their parents wtf looks. It was great.

The squaw sound effect that plays in the trailer was intimidating and so badass at the theater.

Even though I laugh, you know those little kids were blind sided. Paranorman, Frankenweenie, Spiderman, The Dark Knight Rises trailers play and the kids are all wiggin out, and then Prometheus trailer assaults their little minds. Whoever arranged these trailers for the Avenger's is a mean ****er. I should buy him a beer.

I have an app called Zedge on my Droid that has tons of ringtones and notification sounds. I searched for Prometheus and a notification titled Prometheus Red Alert was there. It's the squaw sound.

From ratings Information and Lindeloff Interview we can say 100 percent this Is part of Alien franachise.From Interview It makes me think If there Is sequel might It jump ahead and be set during the 57 year gap between Alien and Aliens.

I always knew it was. All of that "set in the same universe" is BS if I ever heard it.

The NBA Playoff spots are making me so terribly excited for this movie. I can't wait to see Noomi Rapace get impregnated with Alien babies.
