is this meant to be an insult to people who didnt like it because they didnt get it? :woot:
Eh, not really. I mean, I pretty much admit that even I didn't get it completely the first time around.

you are a smart SHH user. what didnt you get?

I honestly don't feel it is a "getting it" thing. The film is pretty blunt.

I still thnk that they should have had it be the same planet from Alien though - it wouldn't have been hard to make them match up really...
They could of but keep in mind this is a part one of a possible two or three part series.

Its like asking questions about why things don't match up in Star Wars having only seen the Phantom Menace movie of the Star Wars prequels.
a trick question for finding out if we were disappointed because the movie didnt give us answers? since the DS give answers .

good one :woot:
You think I'm smarter or more cunning than I actually am which I thank you but I have no ulterior motive I am genuinely just curious :woot:

They should have the weyland yutani commandos in the sequel

it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself :oldrazz: :woot:

Finally saw the film. I enjoyed it. But there where a few things that didn't make sense. Like why did David infect Holloway? What was his ultimate goal? It didn't go anywhere. It's like they couldn't come up with any other scenario, to have that tentacle monster at the end of the Movie.

Or Shaw running around with an alien life form in her stomach and cutting herself open. You'd think they would make a big deal about it. But no, everyone is pretty cool about it. And the way they all interact with each other it's like it never happened.

One of my main problems with the movie. The whole movie they are trying to find answers, and in the end they aren't given any anwers. Feels like the point of the movie itself failed.
That's like one of the main points of the movie to me. No matter how much you look into religion and theories for the creation of Earth and the life on it, there will always be questions left to ask.

Weyland told David to "try harder" in their conversation earlier on in the movie, Weyland was looking for a way to extend his life, David wanted to see what effect the black goo had on humans and if it could be the answer for Weyland.

They tried to take Shaw into isolation and freeze her for the trip home, but she fooled them and took the team out who were supposed to do that, everyone else on the ship was either tending to Weyland, the ship itself and then the zombie crew member who attacked.

As for why they acted later like it never happened, Shaw thought she had killed the parasite when she neutralised it in the chamber, it wasnt moving when she left the room.

Hope this answers your questions.

Exactly

Tony Scott just committed suicide... wtf?? I kno wi shouldn't put it here exactly but he did work as producer on this film.. He just jumped and killed himself, check it out at darkhorizons

REALLY hope thats our cover art here in the US.

Fits with the other blu ray covers in having the "baddie's" face at the forefront.

Wow, now that's a great cover. I really hope we get that.

People have pointed out that the engineer action figre looks like Trent Reznor

The problem with it, as with the "Chair Suit" (really?) design in the movie, is that it bears very little resemblance to the Space Jockey from "Alien". Given that this is supposed to be the premise of the whole film, it is problematic.
