Just one. Ridley considers the theatrical cut his Director's cut.

A member at the blu-ray.com forums who already has the disc posted a list of all the content on the European version of the four disc collector set... And there are a TON of extras!

Thanks for that info, Darth. Anyway, just watched the film. Screw you, Mr. Scott :argh:. Why the hell did you have to put that damn cesarean section scene?! :barf: I cringed crazily. Ugh. Not to mention that flippin' scene where that squid thing puts its tentacle in the guy's mouth and impregnates him. Ugh. Feels like sex education :cmad:

The Alien films always had sexual undertones. I expected more.

the marketing for the bluray is ''questions will be answered''. bravo FOX. this is how you make extra money ;)
Man that was a great trailer! So it was originally LV426! Did anyone see the mutated Fiefield looked completely different? They showed a lot of alternate scenes that look great. Why were they cut from the final film? Man, I'm going to have to buy the blu-ray 4 disc one so I can get all of the special features.

Theory/Speculation:

Regarding the Space Jockey inconsistencies in Alien and Prometheus, what if The Engineers' suits were designed after their 'god' or creator? That would explain the contrast in size and biology. Perhaps Paradise will further expand the Alien universe, and introduce us to the 'true' Space Jockey by the finale.

lol at Milburn having a nerdgasm at finding the alien worms. Super Mitant Fifield attack is better than the original cut. This movie should have another cut with all this stuff put back in.

That's roughly what I am hoping for.

the engineer is meant to be the same like in Alien. but they said f.... it because we have a dialoge scene with David,Weyland and the Engineer. and he can not be that big.

In a sense, it is a good thing that they screwed it up, because the idea of The Jockey really being a big pasty man is crushingly disappointing. At least there is still some mystery behind it this way.

i watched the last deleted scenes. so now all of them. i like the alternative opening. and the paradise extended scene is fantastic. i like how she says paradise.

the scientist touching the worm makes him even more stupid. but at least it explains why he touches the big snake. he is just stupid in general. so this is good.

I'm really looking forward to that paradise scene

I definitely like the alien-Fifield attack better than the one in the theatrical cut. The original release just looks like Eric Stoltz in "Mask" wearing a space suit. The alien-Fifield looks like he somehow bridges the gap between black goo, Engineer, Alien, human, etc. It had much more of a supernatural aspect, rather than just a goofy looking face and everything else was normal.

some backstory about the alien attack. how you spend extra money.:woot:

they filmed all the scenes with the actor. then the CGI artist erased him out and created a CGI alien . then at the end they used the actor from the set. boom :cwink:

Thats not possible, as Prometheus was only set a few decades before the events of Alien, yet in Alien they say the derelict and Space Jockey/Engineer had been there for thousands of years.

Maybe im confused,,, even though it has been there that long, how does this mean it cannot still link up at some point?
