That's what it reminded me of as well, very retro. The Alien DNA is clearly in tact in the design of the inside of the ship as well.

I love all the pictures. And yeah, that helmet on Fassbender definitely gives off a 70's feel. It reminds me of Tron as well.

1979 indeed. Holy ****. I love the helmets. And especially that tron-like thing that Fassbender is wearing. This has to be one of the few films to be convincingly reverse engineering the technology of an older film and succeeding in doing so.

I know it's a little soon, but maybe release it with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, since I hear that's tracking really well and it's another Fox film.

If not that, then maybe with The Thing, since that's also a horror film.
