Prometheus filming until end of year...in Spain?

http://informaciones.visibli.com/share/cpjXd4

They are quoting local gov sources, so I assume this to be legit. The article basically mentions:

  • Filming will take place at Ciudad de la Luz, a big filming studio in Spain (Alicante).
  • The studio has been booked from August 22th to December 10th.
  • They will start building the sets next week, but filming won't start until the last week of September (when Ridley arrives).
  • Guy Pearce and Fassbender will be doing the scenes for now, Theron may be there too.
  • They will be filming the scenes in a huge water tank, also a beach.
  • There will be a scene where a huge ship (they say yacht) is caught in a storm.
  • Near 250 people will be involved in the filming process, with a cost over 1 milllion Euros.

interesting. i think at comic con Ridlley himself said that they are filming the last scenes which are the beginning of the movie.

it could be that in the last month they decided to add something to the movie. maybe some action and money shots. who knows.

The water tank fits in with Scott mentioning underwater filming last year.

Nice. It looks like there's some influence from both Alien and Aliens there. Could that red mark on the top vehicle be this movie's version of the Weyland-Yutani logo?

Love the huge lifter-mecha-thingy! Definatly a predecessor/"mark one" to the more agile lifters in Aliens.

The sets DNA is very like Alien and those vechiles have the Aliens DNA from the ACP and The Power Loader.

Love the Weyland-Yutani symbol on the side. At least it looks like it.

Yeah, a much of similarities with the Mako.
Anyway, the vehicle is cool.

That looks nothing like the APC.....aside from the fact it's a ground vehicle...

However, the landing gear looks just like the Alien landing gear, which is just AWESOME! :D

It doesn't look entirely like the Mako but the similarities are there.

Plus I only said that it reminded me of the Mako not that it looked exactly like it.

Regardless I could totally see that vehicle in ME. It's not a bad thing anyway.

With that said I seriously can't wait for this movie.

I have a feeling that not only will it be a visual powerhouse but the performances will be terrific.

Seriously excited for this.

Well, in my opinion Ridley is the guarantee for a good film. He pays attantion to the character development, the runtime of the movie and the mood as well. He won't overuse the CGI, so it's an other good point.

If he delivers an "alien-levelled" film just like he did in 1979, I will be totally satisfied.
