Public Enemies gets its coffee-shop moment, too, FBI hotshot Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale) and Dillinger staring at each other through prison bars in an exchange of sharp lines and even more piercing silences.
Damn, I'll see this movie for that scene alone.

Didn't DiCaprio campaign for the role of Dillinger back in 04? Yeah I'm glad Depp got the part.

I anticipate this film so much it's not even funny. Two of my favorite actors of this generation mixed with one of my favorite directors. The only thing that surprises me is that the poster marketing on phone booths and subway signs is only of Depp (Both appearance and name) If you've got the lead of the second biggest movie of all time in your project, why not market him? (Like Body of Lies, Crowe was supporting, not co-lead. Still on posters)

Either way, bring this bad boy on!

I like the font they use on the poster, it has an art deco feel.

The clip during Mythbusters was the trailer, intercut by interviews with Mann, Bale, and Depp.

Only about 15 seconds a piece from each of them. So nothing to bust a nut over.

Great clip. I like that there's no score like the Heat shootout. I love it when guns sound like they're supposed to.

Bale has a poster.

Love that clip btw. There is something very theatrical but at the same time real about it.

I know Bale's got a poster, but you never see it. I've only seen it on the internet. All I see outside is Depp, and only his name is on the poster. I think If someone would just see the movie based on the posters here in NYC, they'd be shocked that Bale's in the movie too.

Agreed on the clip. The sound is so incredible, so realistic and frightening. As Celtic said, having no score like Heat is great, and it makes the sound work pop up even more than it would have. Good stuff

ET's short BTS clip

If you had to add bale on the poster, you would have to add the other people from the cast as well. You cant just add one supporting player and ignore the rest.

But you can, and it's been done. Plus Bale's a name I would say. He's been the title character of a gigantic movie. I think it makes more sense to have him and Depp on the poster instead of just Depp. Once again I use Body of Lies as an example. Crowe wasn't really in that all that much (In fact Mark Strong may have had almost as much screentime, if not as much). It was DiCaprio's show, but they advertised it as if they were Co-Leads. Made sense, and I'm surprised Universal isn't doing the same.

I mean It doesn't really matter, I just saw a a bunch of Public Enemies posters today and they all just had Johnny on it. Was a little surprised.

Yeah, a face off poster would be awesome. Something like the TDK Entertainment Weekly cover.
