the game looks awesome. unreal engine? that's amazing news. not sure if the punisher is the best title for online gaming seeing as how everybody will probably pick frank, but it sounds like they're going to pack the game with other characters as well. overall this is fantastic stuff.

See the thing is, I've reading up on the people that are making it and apparently all they've done are ****ty games.

Hopefully this won't be, I don't know.

well, judging by their line-up of games such as pinball fx and rocky and bullwinkle, i'd say it's more like they haven't made any good games yet rather than they make ****ty games. the fact that this game is being build on the unreal engine is enough to get me psyched for this game, but i didn't even realize it was an unknown developer working on the game. that could be a problem, but not necessarily.

That screen shot doesn't look to bad though. But I guess it will come down to gameplay more.

To bad it's a PS3 exclusive.

i keep forgetting that part. that's ******** especially nowadays where every big title, certainly most of the marvel games that have been coming out lately, are released on several systems. fortunately i got a buddy with a ps3 so i'll probably buy it anyway. the more i think about this game the more i'm liking the idea of a punisher multiplayer first person shooter.

Being the owner of a Wii, that's not going to help me... but hopefully Xbox 360 gets it for you, since they have downloadable content too and the power to make a game like that work.

Apparently there won't be an official toyline, but Hasbro who holds the lisence to the Marvel Legends toyline and merchandising has hinted that they might do a Ray Stevenson Punisher in the future.

I doubt it though, to be honest. They have a new Marvel Legends Punisher coming out around the same time as the movie, so they'll probably just try to cash in with that one.

Dozens of Deals for Marvel's Punisher Flick

Hasbro, Mad Engine and Bio World and others have signed on to develop licensed products based on the up-coming Dec. 5 release of Marvel's Punisher: War Zone film.

Movie-supported merchandise includes softlines, apparel, collectibles and accessories such as Punisher action figures from Hasbro exclusively for Toys "R" Us; t-shirts, hoodies and doublers from Mad Engine for major retailers; and headwear from Bio World.

"Punisher is an incredibly strong, gritty and engaging character in the Marvel Universe and a long-time fan favorite," says Paul Gitter, president of consumer products, North America, Marvel Entertainment. "This franchise lends itself to an array of consumer product applications that are well positioned for success among our core demographic with a focused licensing and merchandising program."

Punisher: War Zone is produced and distributed by Lionsgate Entertainment.

I did some digging and the Toys R Us exclusive Punisher "figure" is actually a Marvel Mighty Mugg, which isn't a figure at all but rather more of an ornament.

Very disapointed they made the game exclusive to the Playstation, but it doesn't even look as good as the previous game either graphic wise.
