I'm curious as to know why this person wrote a bogus review in the first place?

What was the point?

Update: I'm looking through the film section on Newsarama, the review is not there anymore! The link on the first page of this thread still goes to it, but there are no direct links for it on the Newsarama site from what I can find. Google also can get to it if you type in Punisher War Zone Review. Great way to half-a$$ fix a problem Newsarama, just delete the review from your server Amatuers...

It's very likely that you will wake up Tuesday morning, December 2, to several online reviews.

In my city, the Los Angeles Times usually publishes their reviews on Thursday or Friday, for films being released that weekend.

Well, it's still easy to find since they half a$$ed took it down. But now they can say they took it off their site, even though it still pops up 3 posts down on a search. They need to put upa damn statement apologizing to readers for sloppy reporting and editing.

Someone should send them a vague fake review of Watchmen and see if they put it up.

To be honest does anyone truly expect a positive review from film critics? Action movies tend to get shredded by critics. I like to go into a movie with the mindset of what I am going to see. if it's a horror movie, I want to be scared and grossed out. if it's an action movie, I want some great action scenes. All must have a decent story though. I'm not hyped for this movie which may be a good thing because when I go to see it on Friday, my expectations are going to be set very low, so I could come out of the theater pleasantly suprised.

I'm not worried about professional MSM critics, most fans of the action/adventure genre know not to listen to those guys. If they give a film like Rambo a 7.5/10, that's like a 10/10 for a good action flick.

The people we need to listen to are some of the mid-grade reviewers like some of the guys at AICN (massawyrm, Quint, Vern, sometimes Moriarty), Arrow at Joblo.com, those are the guys that appeal to my taste in film, and who I trust.

I'm sure everyone here has their own selection of pro and Internet critics they listen to.

Sometimes? Moriarty is by far the best thing AICN has to offer.

I'm more than sure the critics will rate this like they did Rambo, which in IMO was awesome. As long as its action packed, has a familiar origin and has the Punisher doing what he does I'll be happy. I have faith in Stevenson and West.

its also great to see Wayne Knight, man I havent seen him in AGES.

After watching Knight in the B-roll footage, I can say he killed his role, just totally MURDERED it. Such a perfect choice for Microchip. I hope he gets a big enough role, and from what I've heard, he does.

definitely, if theres anything i loved about Knight its his sarcasm. But as Microchip he is perfect, i couldnt think of anyone better tbh.
