PUNISHER war zone review!!!

Nothing new from that review, but happy to hear it's going to be a bloodbath!:woot:

The best Punisher's flick too far.

This is good to me.

Wow, that has me even more pumped up to see it. *sarcasm*

Are we honestly surprised by the review?

No but pretty much what to expect from the critics:grin: The 2004 Punisher had piss poor reviews and I still enjoyed watching it. We all knew an extremely violent action movie based on the Punisher is never going to get rave reviews. But it's the best out of the 3, no shocker there either.

No. The action movies are the action movies, most of the critics don't like it.
But yet the critics define it the best Punisher's movie too far, i'm happy!

"Punisher: War Zone is the Punisher Max the diehards have been waiting for" -

That's all I need to hear beetches.

You know, I can handle their little snarky reviews normally, but when I read stupid, unresearched crap like this...

Too bad director Lexi Alexander didn’t see that or the many holes in the screenplay.

Then again, she had other things on her mind, like saving her job.

Alexander was reportedly fired from the project this past summer during postproduction. Whether or not it’s true, her name is still on the credits.

30 seconds on a google search (or hell, just visiting this forum) would have told the reviewer this was a b.s. rumer started by people who also didn't do research on why Lexi wasn't at Comic Con. Duuuurrr!!! Day ar Smartz!!!

Then I read some unrelated crap that sounds more like a rub because thier buddy got unfairly ruled by the MPAA...

War Zone features people getting their necks punctured by wine glasses, elderly people getting machete-d in half, internal organs being ripped out by hand, and human bodies literally being exploded onscreen. It revels in its goriness. Yet the film still received an ‘R’ rating, from the same people who nearly gave ’s “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” an ‘NC-17’. Hmmm...

Maybe they should have spent thier time pushing their buddy Kevin Smith's films. Here is a hint, you dont want unnessasary MPAA attention, dont put the word PORNO in the fricking title!

"The bloodbath at the end of the film in an abandoned hotel (a nice tip of the hat to Tim Bradstreet) gives “Rambo’s” big finish a run for its money in terms of sheer sadistic mayhem. Body parts explode, bullets tear down walls, heads crack walls...the violence reaches almost cartoonish levels. Castle shoots, stabs, and even rocket-launches his way through a huge chunk of the New York underworld."

That's the scenes I am looking forward to. That right there may make it all worth it. I loved the Rambo bit at the end when he's on that .50 just mowing the bad guys down.

Crazy to hear it's up to par with Rambo's violence. That's a good thing.

Hell yeah, that Rambo scene was an action masterpiece!!

Yeah, that is good to hear, I loved Rambo, but I love a good action flick. It still bugs me lame-@$$ Meet the Spartans pushed Rambo to #2 it's opening weekend.

All in all, despite the reviewers bias and Jr. High style dickery, this review reinforced what alot of us wanted to know.

Honestly i've watch again "The Punisher" with Tom Jane yesterday on dvd.
It's an honest action movie, a modern western.
But now i've seen something of "Punisher: War Zone" i like more this new one than the 2004's version. The 2004's movie suffer of lack of action and violence (Punisher kills two guy very fast; Punisher kills Herry Heck very fast; Punisher fights with the Russian; Punisher kills a man with a headheace throughout the entire movie...Very little for a Punisher movie). The best scenes are the Russian's fight and the end bloody scene very powerful and great but the rest suffer of this lack.
This new one it's going to be better.

And this review confirms this.

Well, I'm glad they said it's the best Punisher flick. Defenitely makes me happy.

Also, this being what us Punisher: Max diehard fans have been waiting for obviously brings a smile to my face.

I like the responces on there asking for it to be reviewed by an actual Punisher fan, and not generalize the characters fan base.

Pretty much what I expected, and it seems Marcum and Holloway didn't do **** with the script.

When you've seen one review, you've seen them all. I'm pretty sure that a vast majority of critics are going to agree with this guy and we'll be getting many similar reviews in the near future. There's no doubt that the rotten tomatoes consensus is going to be something like "best punisher movie so far but still pretty poor"

and you know what that's fine by me. I enjoyed both previous Punisher movies so if War Zone is able to beat those two films...well then I'm all good. i'm just hoping that the movie makes enough money so we can get more Punisher films in the future. The character deserves to be kept alive!

p.s. So Doug Hutchinson steals the show huh? Well I saw that one coming. I love that guy and I can't wait to see him in action. Also Wayne Knight sounds great as Micro.

What worries me is the criticism of Ray's accent...

In the little clips that they have released you can hear that Ray doesn't have a handle on his accent so totally not shocking to me. As for the rest of the review the trailers already tell me that this is going to be a bad DVD movie that I only will view because I am a fan of gore so again, no surprise

I don't think we need to put any stock in anything that leftist nutball digital rag Newsarama puts out these days. Site owner Matt Brady has no integrity or sense of journalistic purity, and he basically uses the site to kiss Marvel's ass along with a lot of other media producers whose wares he hocks on his "new" site.

His reviewer is one of the elitist, leftist windbags who would probably ******e the guy who owns the pub where Alan Moore drinks just to touch one of Alan Moore's barstools.

The site sickens me, as does the "review." I'll make my own judgments come December 5th.

^Overreact much?

You can love the movie till the cows come home but it will get terrible reviews from most critics...like the first two Punisher movies.

thank christ the violence level is brought up in this one that was one of the main reasons i hated the other punisher movie

Gotta love the non fan's popping in to give her $.02.
