Q & A w/Louis Leterrier & Suggestions Box

Of course...just don't have an exact date yet. He's reading the messages but since before the date annoucement the suggestions have dried up...script is surely gonna be wrapped soon.

It would have been really cool if he had asked us more specific questions but I guess those might have given away to many plot details.

I would love to hear some feedback from LL about our suggestions, which one were good and what made sense. Obviously this would only be things they couldn´t use in the film but things that they liked anyway.

The feedback will be in the film as far as which one's they liked. I'm sure they want to surprise us more than spoil us.

If they want to have good fight scenes they need to have a fight that spans an entire city. HULK punches the Abomination through two buildings. Abom gets up and throws a bus at the HULK, HULK punches it back at him. The HULK does a mile high jump and lands on the Abomination sending him into the lower parts of the city. The Abom punches the HULK through the ground and into a building. So on and so on. It needs to be massive.

^ And don't forget they need to show he's the strongest one there is. LOL

-Just messing w/you. ;)

Man will i love some grand world changing fights. I just want to include some of the heart i get in current Incredible Hulk books. Where you have that feel that the hulk so powerful that he can never be happy and you want so bad for him to be happy.

But, i think I'm asking too much since this is a recon there'll have to re-establish many of the characters. They might not have time for Hulk's heart.

man i feel like a ***** posting this LoL

You and the rest of us. We all have so many different visions in are head of how this film should be. I loved the first film (most of it anyways) but realize it's just not the style of Hulk film that will bring it into the big leagues. We need something different...change. It the #1 film that I'm most looking forward to between now and the end of 2008.

It would still be cool is they told us about something they thought was a great idea but didn´t fit in with their current vision of the movie.

I know that that will never happen but still...:yay:

One thing they should do is have the final battle between Hulk and Abomination take place in an urban area. At the end of the battle Hulk should be pounding Abomination so hard into the ground that the surrounding buildings begin to crack and fall to the ground like in a massive earthquake.

That scene would show how powerful the Hulk is and explain why the military is so determined to stop him. He saves the day by taking Abomination out but in the process causes a lot of destruction, way more then other heroes in the MU ever do.

I'd like to see something like the following:

The Hulk is down, the Abomination towers over him, standing in front of him, blocking the sun.. he's in shadow.

We zoom in on the Hulk's eyes which seem to widen, and if possible look slightly crazy/insane (for reference, look at Strongman competitions to see how their eyes look when they put that much focused effort into an event)

The camera lowers as we see Hulk snarl and rage as he rears back with a double hammer uppercut smash.

( Something along these lines: )

As the camera follows his fists slowly and connects with the underside of Abomination's chin. Slow, so we can see the actual damage and anticipate what's to follow.

That, naturally, is the Abomination being knocked HIGH into the air as the camera speeds back up to normal which should make it "feel" impressive, rather than just filming it as regular speed.

It could also serve as an "audience cheering" moment.. the moment when someone inevitably yells out and cheers in support of the hero on screen.

Hulk looks over his shoulder, realizing the destruction that would occur if they stayed and leaps off after the Abomination.

From Hulk's POV, we see the Abomination on the ground, as Hulk begins falling towards him, intending to stomp him. And just before he lands, that's when the Abomination awakes groggily, shakes his head and kicks out with his feet, stopping the Hulk from squishing him.

Abomination scrambles to his feet, rips a tree out of the ground and tosses it at the Hulk like a spear, whereupon he promptly smashes it to splinters. Hulk starts stomping towards Abomination, with tree after tree being swatted away, or broken over him.

With each step he gets angrier, smashing his fist into his hand, as he unleashes a savage yell to the sky and leap/tackles the Abomination leaving a deep gap in the earth where the two titans were clashing previously.

Quick punches to the body, grappling, ending with both wrapping their hands around the others throat. Abomination tries a cheap, dirty head butt, which doesn't faze the Hulk, and only serves to make him angrier, allowing him to break the Abomination's choke hold and deliver a backhand smash, knocking the Abomination to the ground, allowing him to deliver an overhand double hammer smash knock out blow.

I almost put that in...:woot:

We should see Abomination do things with his strength that Hulk would never do,not because he couldn't,but because he wouldn't.Like smashing people to dust, ripping them apart, etc.

OHHHHHH!! Good idea! Never even thought of that:up:

shouldn't TIH get a PG 13 rating?:csad:

^Ripping people apart is just too violent don't you think?
If i was 13 years old i'd be in a certain trauma to see something like that even if it's just in the movies.
And i thought this was supposed to be a lighter/fun Hulk?

When I was 13 I would have loved a scene like that. People seem to think that 13 year olds haven´t already seen a lot of stuff in movies, by 13 I´d seen Robocop, Predator, Total Recall and a bunch of other movies like that and it didn´t cause me any trauma :yay:

However there really is no need to show the actual dismemberment of bodies on screen, a news report showing bodies laying around with crows picking at them would work better imo.

^but this is supposed to be a feel-good movie, and you'll turn them into the monsters of jurassic park who's only goal is to rip people in half and eat them as means of leissure time.
This should be about explssive action and not a carnage film making. FYI i've seen a lot worse than what you've mentioned, but i'm not sure that it's just appropriate to show some scenes where Abom eats people.

Who said anything about having him eat the people he rips apart?
