This is per Louis Leterrier's request. I'm going to be sending him all questions per e-mail and then sending all answers back to here. SHH is not set up for a chat session with 100+ people at once. LOL

To make things simple for me all I ask is the following:

1) Post as many questions as you like but put all of your questions in BOLD PRINT! If you're chatting back and forth or responding to Louis's answers I post here just leave it in regular font. This way I can zip through it and get it done. I'm going to the "Let's Talk" thread now and I'm going to send all the questions from there to here and then to Louis.

2) After your questions type in your screen name at the bottom so when I cut and paste it Louis knows who's he's responding too. If you don't type it I'll just send him the question without it.

3) If you don't mind try looking through all the questions before asking the same one's again cause who knows how long he's gonna do this before he's off to start filming so let's get as many fresh one's in as we can.

PLEASE READ THE ABOVE BEFORE POSTING HERE>

Louis in the "Let's Talk" thread did provide this information:

1) Hulk will be all CGI except in certain cases where prosthetics will be used.
2) Hulk will show feats of strength.
3) Thunderbolt is the main villain w/Blonsky (Abomination not far behind)
4) They are close to casting banner & the rest of the cast will follow.

I consider the first movie as being a very dark movie. How would you compare your Hulk,in terms of darkness, with the first one?

Hulk, within the Marvel pantheon,is described as a powerful, unstoppable force of nature. Will you display him like that?

Thank you.

Prep is great. We're assembling a wonderful team.

Re: Let's Talk.

We're still biding a few primary and secondary vendors for our VFX.

Re: Let's Talk.

HULK is CG. We are using prosthetics for other areas of the film.

Re: Let's Talk.

Feats of strength, yes.... a lot.

Re: Let's Talk.

The main villain is "Thunderbolt" Ross. Emil Blonsky isn't far behind...

Re: Let's Talk.

We're very close to casting Bruce Banner.

Re: Let's Talk.

The rest of the cast will follow.

Re: Let's Talk.
Alright, this is too slow. Send the questions to Advanced Dark and he'll get them to me.
I just wanted to touch base with you, since it's been so long and since you're such a big part of why I'm making this film.

Let's talk soon.

Bye.

Louis.

I'm confused. What exactly are are the answers? The format doesn't make ideal reading...for me at least.

Wouldn't it be better to put Mr.Leterrier's answers in a different color. Just a suggestion.:ninja:

"Betty Ross was not a hottie, she was an average girl. The casting was poor. I hope you really do your homework on the original information."

Whoever asked that is out of their mind:o

Advanced, can you send this, please?

1-how will the relationship between Hulk and this villain be analysed, in this sequel?

2-Has Hulk/Bruce Banner role been cast? When news about cast?

3 -What attracted you to doing a movie about Hulk?

4- What you think of CGI?

5-Betty, General Ross. Will they be in the sequel?

Mr. Leterrier,

You directed The Transporter and The Transporter 2, which were fun films with great action sequences. Some things were over the top; however, the films stuck to their own level of integrity making no excuses for what they were and as a result they worked.

That being said I wanted to know what type of feel you are going for in this film. Is the subject going to be taken seriously and just kind of ignore the Ang Lee debacle? From my standpoint, and I think that of most others, people want comic heroes given serious treatment and a good story. In this case they really want to see the Hulk smashing stuff.

However, delving too deep into the human psyche, as Ang Lee did, will just alienate the audience. Nobody intuitively clicked with the Hulk being different shades of green and different sizes dependent on his level of emotional turmoil and resultant anger. The comic panels idea in the movie also failed, it really only served as a distraction and pulled you out of the film.

The Hulk should be one size, the proper shade of green and for the most part pissed off. Are you going to have the budget for the same quality of special effects Ang Lee had? I have to admit the Hulk looked good for the most part in his film.

Please, of please no atomic poodles, unnecessary subplots or scenes designed to interject humor that only derail the film. Please see Mark Steven Johnson's playground fight between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner in Daredevil as a prime example of just such a scene. Good luck, a lot of people want to see this done right. ~Gene

Hi Louis,

Watching the first movie again last night (for like the 50th time!) I have to say is still love it, its a great movie, so as you can imagine, i'm a bit worried about how much this new movie will deviate from it. Are you able to tell us how much you will recognise and follow the first movie?

Also, are you able to tell us roughly how long TIH will be?

And finally, i'm just gonna say this, I REALLY dislike Zak Penn after X3, which IMO is one of THE worst 3 comic book movies EVER! Please tell me that the TIH script is NOTHING like X3.

Retro,

The attempt yesterday was a mess so those are just all the questions. If you read the first part of the first post you'll see that things will be different after this post. I was just reposting all the questions already sent to Leterrier. I didn't bother going back and typing in the names of each person who sent them that's why I wrote the first post up the way I did. Things will be much clearer from this point on. Also for all of Leterrier's answers see the bottom of the first post. (Link) Again the format above is just the list of questions from yesterday. From now on it'll be like above where people write their list in BOLD and sign their name below. :)

You'll find all of LL's answers in here: http://www.superherohype.com/forums/search.php?searchid=2271790 up until today. After that they'll all be in this thread from me to you and it'll be easy to read.

Marker...

Everything above this post has been SENT!

Edit: Retro I fixed the post above to make it easier to understand for everyone. :)

Here´s some questions:

- Do you intend to keep a character-driven tone to the movie, but a somewhat faster pacing, more humor, etc. or has Marvel "freaked out" with the disappointing BO of the first movie and wants to do a full on non-stop action movie?

- Is there any chance of actors who have been in the first - like Sam Elliot - to get back for the sequel?

- Do you intend to make Hulk a little closer to actual human proportions and avoid the "cartoon" criticism the FX for the first movie received?

- Do you think the movie should keep being referential to sources like Frankenstein and Jekyll and Hyde, since they were the main inspiration for the character?

- If you were to compare the tone of the sequel with another superhero movie, which it would be? X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman (Nolan version), Fantastic Four (God, no)?

- Do you think the leading parts should all be unknown?

Thank you!! Excellent work AD:)

Hi Louis. One thing. Please, Please, Please for the love of God, please do not do the multi camera/comic book panels thing in this movie. It frustrated people so much when I saw the first one at the theater that people were throwing their soda cups at the screen. It was the most irritating thing I have seen and it made sitting in the theater watching the first movie like being in prison or detention. I hope you are not going to do this in your sequel. Also, please, no Hulk Poodles.

I concur. I don't need to see one scene played out in 3 different angles. And while we're at it, no "flashback within a flashback" scenes. That's lousy storytelling.

Hi Louis, I have 3 questions.

1. Are you interested in another Marvel adaptation (Captain America, Thor Nick Fury...)?

2. Will we see video blogs from the set (like Superman Returns)?

3. And one stupid question: Have you got any news about Namor the Sub-Mariner movie?

I am sorry, my English is bad. :csad:

your english is fine ^

When will filming begin?

Might we get a glimpse of the Hulk by this summer? Say, with the Fantastic 4 film, perhaps?

Will the Hulk talk?

How tall will the Hulk be? (please make him more than 7', but less than 10'! I don't think the majority here want a 'human-sized Hulk, nor do they want a dinosaur-sized one!)

Spider - Man

Is the Hulk going to speak more? Not nec Hulk smash but the darker persona like in current comics?

are any of the original cast returning?

Will there be any grey hulk in this or future sequels?

what are your favorite elements of the character?

cheers!

good work AD! Get P2 made!

What's the approximated budget?

Will this film be a "Greek Tragedy," or will it be more action oriented?

Didn't follow all of the production so far, maybe something was already answered:

1. What's the relationship of Bruce and Betty in your story? (friends, co-workers, couple, married)
2. How old are Bruce and Betty in the movie?
3. Will Sam Elliott reprise his role as General Ross?
4. Does "Thunderbolt" mean that Ross gets powers and actually fights the Hulk?
5. Is the Abomination created like in the early comics or more like in the "Ultimates" or in a totally new way?
6. What things from the last movie do you ignore and what do you keep?
7. Will Stan Lee and/or Lou Ferrigno make cameos again?
8. What places will the fight scenes take place mostly? (city, desert, etc.)
9. Did you or Zak Penn consult anyone from the Marvel/Hulk writers to write the final script?
10. How does the movie start resp. what will the first 5 minutes show us? (for ex.: a rather long intro OR a straight jump into an action scene?)
11. Do you already have plans for future stories? If so, are any setups for them in the movie?
12. Will there be any appearences or mentions of other Marvel owned characters or their alter egos? (for ex.: Tony Stark or Iron Man)

Thanks for your time.
Kaos

Is their any way maybe for the future to have the battle the whole comicdon has wanted to see.The hulk vs the thing from fantastic four?

4. Does "Thunderbolt" mean that Ross gets powers and actually fights the Hulk?

General Ross has been nicknamed "Thunderbolt" since day 1. It refers to his explosive temper, not to any super powers.

If your still online Mr. Leterier, how close to casting Bruce Banner are you?

Louis Leterrier said:

God, i'm sssooo syked he answered my questions directly!:p

Will you be staying true to the comic book rendition and the way that marvel intended the Hulk to be? Meaning he gets bigger the madder he gets, etc etc
