Can't improve on the original of anything. The original sets the standard that everyone else tries to replicate.

If they are going to read this thread and actually give it any time of day I would keep it on topic and not start bickering.

1) More Epic, the coming of Galactus is the most epic story in the marvel universe that means this has to be bigger and better than anything we have seen previously from the Marvel universe. (X-men, spider-man)

2) Silver surfer should not be able to turn it on and off. Also the surfer is arguably one of the most powerful superheroes in Marvel, don’t let that be forgotten.

3) Reed should be able to hang onto his women no questions. And we should not have to doubt that once in the sequel. Also as said before don't mess Reed up the way Cyclops got screwed, make him the leader and make him respected and cool, the smartest man alive who is also considered sexy.

4) Johnny was great in the original! (Fact)

5) Ben needs to kick ass and not seem small (not that he did in the 1st but there's room for improvement), maybe use a little bit more CGI to touch him up this time and make sure he kicks allot of ass!

6) Keep Doom behind the mask, we should not see Julian’s face unless it's some kind of flashback. Keep him in his own country this time if possible please.

Loved the first one, my favorite comic movie of all time and I have faith this movie is going to be spectacular, thanks for making me your friend on myspace. Keep up the great work! The Surfer will rule 2007!

Don't think that will happen. They don't want someone who would overshadow the main 4 charactors. Like Nicholson did in Batman, or arnold in Batman and Robin. They will get someone with a little popularity, but not a big screen presense.

Just give the Thing a freakin' brow. It doesn't have to be just like what he's had in the comics since 1963... ...but for God's sake, do something. Any move in that direction would be an improvement, and appreciated by the great majority of fans.

I really don't see how this could interfere with Chiklis' performance. In fact it might even enhance it, since this further undesired mutation would be right above his eyes.
I bet Chiklis would be all for it.

Having Ben Grimm's mutation continue to "worsen" over the course of several movies would only intensify the viewer's empathy for him.
Ben feels trapped in this concrete tank of a body; that's the emotional core of the character. He is not "fine as is."

Make him rockier and make him hate it.

Prob. Christmas. If not then bout 2 months before release of sequel. There is no sense of urgency to get the DC out. Fox knows it will sell.

I never read the comics and just watched the 90s cartoon so it's no big deal if things aren't exactly the same as panel number whatever from issue 1. I just think the pace was too fast for the first and the characters weren't given time to really show their stuff, not just their cool powers, but more human emotion and different sides to their peronality. they felt like hollow cardboard cutouts of their comicbook selves. Maybe that was because of the pacing. And that's a shame to see these talented actors confined like this. I want to like them for more reason than "well he's kinda like the comic version so I'll transplant my liking for them onto these people I guess."

Oh and also No more YOUR OUT NORMAN scenes. Don't do that. I was shocked to see that it so blatantly resembled the spider-man scene where norman was thrown out of his company. wow, if I hear that galactus's wife is killed and he tries to build a contraption that could destroy earth, I'll be a little smurfed off about it.

Anyway keep up the good work with making the series lighthearted and fun. I'm tired of the angsty emo superheros, one can only handle so much... and loved how you handled the thing and johnny in the first film. More of the same, please... and forget what that person said about not having anymore gatuitous alba scenes... More alba, the better.

Honestly, I just want a family film, that focuses on Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben....their relationships, their desire to do what's right, the public vs. private battle the fight....and of course....awesome battles against Doom and apparently SS. Alot of family, relationship, that leads to adventure and action.....in that order please.

Are we expecting smaller scale action sequences?

Will there be a little less obvious comedy?

In regards to the villians. I don't want to know who any others are. But is Doom still there as the main baddie? And if so does he have a small sub plot. Nothing major.

Who are my children?

Will the film have a larger scope? As in will we see the Four leave NY or the country?

Will the film be darker? If so I hope it's only at the right points.

Will we see Reed talking in long jargon as he's more known for in the comics?

Lastly. Will Thing do bigger feats of strength in things that don't involve action sequences. Like lifting things for Reed that weigh a few tons. And I know it won't happen but I would like to see him smoke a stoogie.

First of all i really enjoyed the first movie although it still could have been improved upon.

Kinda hard to add anythin to what people have already said.

but here are my "hopes" jusy the same..

1. Make the action a bit more spectacular, a few scenes of wow i need to watch that again and again on dvd.

2. More family aspect, i always liked how johnny was the younger brother, ben was the uncle and reed and sue were the mom and dad.

3. Less powerful Doom, he shouldnt be a match for the thing in anyway at all.

4. Longer run time.

5. And please no silver on and off for the surfer, he must be silver all the time unless in flash backs or if he's been depowered.

First of all I really liked the first film, the one thing I would say is have the Fantastic Four more aware of their surroundings In the first movie there were severel times where peoples lives were put in danger because of them like on the bridge where ben tried to save a guys life but put alot more lives at risk from the accident he caused or when Ben through Doom at a bus making it almost run over people not to mention hurting whoever is on the bus.

Question- Whats up with the directors cut? When is it coming out? How much longer is it? Are there any new extras?
