That ratchet and clank state of play sure was something. The planets look a lot bigger and look like there is a lot more going on than before and some of the new weapons look great and some of the features in the game just looks so so good.

I absolutely can't wait games really have come a long way. This looks so much better than the remake in presentation and art. Also you get a 60 fps mode on day 1 and no recycled weapons. It's just great

Replaying going commando right now on the ratchet and clank HD ps3 collection. This is a system seller game for me has ratchet and clank is my second favorite video game franchise behind only Zelda and this looks like it could be the best ratchet game yet.

89 on metacritic after 86 reviews so far. My guess was a 94 not quite that high but 89 is still great kind of hoping it can get pushed up to a 90 lol.

Imo, its possible to finish games without crunch. It's about time management.

Eh, call me sceptical but there's definitely a possibility there are devs that actually did crunch but can't or won't talk about it openly due to fear of reprisal.

But I'm more surprised that Sony only released 1 Ratchet & Clank game for the ps4. And this one is eXclusive to the ps5. It makes me wonder how far will the neXt game come out and if it would be playable in the ps5 or not. Anyone who is new to this franchise would only have access to two R&C, unless they have a ps3 and can download the previous 7 to 10 games.

It depends if Insomniac are going to be doing any new IPs or other franchises, in addition to Spider-Man games. If so they will have a lot on their plate, but then they seem to be one of the most efficient devs.

So far my thoughts after just under 2 hours played no spoilers.

1. It really is amazing how good the graphics are really do fell like I am playing a Pixar movie just want to stop at times and look around.

2. The PlayStation 5 rumble and triggers are used pretty well first game I can say that out side of astro bot. The second are the area from the state of play video the like club area you can fell the music it's pretty cool.

3. Kind of early to say but soundtrack might be better than the other games in the franchise.

4. The humor so far has been pretty good think it's more like the older games and less like the 2016 game.

5. Clearly insomniac learned with set peaces with spiderman.

6. Last photo mode I looked at have not really used yet have taken some photos outside of photo mode but there are a lot of frame options. I have not looked at the sticker options.

I am now at about 6 and a half hours but have not had time to play today hoping to but got a few things I got to do but I think this might pass crack in time has my favorite ratchet game. Yeah insomniac is the best cant weight for spiderman 2.

This game is a masterpiece, Insomniac should be very proud, playing in performance RT mode and it's just beautiful and performs flawlessly.

I've been interested in this since it looks really nice, but seeing how I dislike shooters I guess I should be staying away from it anyway.

I just started playing it. Still in the first level after prologue, here's how I feel:

The visuals are dazzling, especially with the new performance RT mode. Control-feel is awesome. I'm not terribly into shooters either, I mostly just play for the visuals and the story. There are some cool new platforming elements sprinkled in.

I think they took some feedback to heart because there is way less of that cringy humor from 2016, and even sucky lines from this game's demo like "gains before trains!" and "niiice sandshark, niiiice sandshark" were totally cut. The bad humor isn't totally gone, but it has been reduced significantly

Only big negatives are that the gun you start with, the pistol, is just pathetic, and that the visual style in the tutorial level made it feel like I was playing the Adventures of Buzz Lightyear. I prefer when the art style is a hint more edgy, and it looks like every following level will be a lot more tasteful.

I am not normally into shooters my self and FPS forget about it lol. But I love love this franchise so so much second only to Zelda for me. I love insomanic but I tried resistances before like a demo of one and was bored really fast.
