i doubt its tess, checkmate is after her butt. And i still doubt it will be martha. i would say martha is probably trying to take out checkmate through legal political means. Either its someone new, or on another board it was mentioned that ausiello said a character from a show he loves who was killed might be returning in an episode of this current season of said show. Now if he was talking about smallville, my guess is maybe helen bryce we never did learn if she died after jumping out of that plane lex was in way back in season 3.

1) I don't think she would be doing field work for Waller, than turn out to be as big f a player as Waller is in Checkmate.

2) Tess is hiding. Why hide when you are a position of power.

I am 75% sure Chloe will turn out to be the Red Queen. She has been controling people all year like a chess player. Plus, what was she doing in Ollies office with the Swiss Bank Account? If they want to send off this year, that's one way they could do it.

sure she been controlling things, but from what else we know she knew nothing of checkmate prior to the recent episodes. i still think it will end up being a new character. As for the ollie office scene when she talked to clark she said it was for beefing up sercuity for watchtower and access to satlite feeds to watch over the fos.

My guess is that the Red Queen is Martha.

Reasons:

1) She somehow stumbled upon info re: Checkmate and their plans/goal, so created a persona to get close and help protect Clark.

2) Possibly related to Perry's investigation of Checkmate

3) We have Zod & Co., Waller, and now Maxwell Lord so I don't think the Red Queen will be a new character or a new villian to add to the mix.

I guess we'll learn soon enough.

She couldn't be. Clark saved her in checkmate. She wouldn't have been able to leave the red queen piece because Clark was with her the entire time.

Some interesting ideas in this thread.
Tess -could- be the red queen. I hope she's not. But it does seem like her shenanigans to play the pawn (no pun intended) while really holding power.

However, Jonn was working with Red Queen. Whomever that might be. I doubt he'd work with Tess. It almost does lay creedance to Chloe being Red Queen.

My money's still on Martha. Especially since her return has been foretold.

personally like i said before for me i see martha knowing about checkmate, But working through legal channels being a senator trying to take them out that way. Then going in and being a dirty player. it just doesnt suit martha to be acting that way. I am still going for its a new player. But if it turns out to be martha that is ok as long as the story about it is good.
