I played a little of the beta last night and I was really underwhelmed. I haven't played the previous Resistance games, so I didn't really know what to expect, but it really doesn't stand up next to all the other shooters available. Graphics, gameplay, power-ups, it's all very mediocre.

What rank did you end off at?

If you played through the first five ranks, the game isn't a whole lot of fun. It's simply because they are trying to get players acclimated to the game. Once you get past level five, the gloves essentially come off.

You can start customizing your loadouts and upgrade the weapons. There is a lot to be had with Resistance 3's multiplayer component. A lot of it is still under wraps for the retail game.

I'd say, if you're up for it, give the beta a longer go then one night's play.

After 3 long years the time is almost upon us. Resistance 3 will soon ship to the masses. But before it does we wanted to take this opportunity to thank all you fans. We are announcing a new playlist called *Classic Hardcore*. It's got all the exciting R3 action minus Berserks and abilities. This is for those players who want to go toe-to-toe without the extras. Classic Hardcore will be available Day 1!

We are not content on ending things there though. We know Resistance fans are a little twisted too. So we have also decided to offer R3 Beta players a special MP taunt to help you gloat in your awesomeness. This taunt is definitely NSFW, so don’t let your mom see.

Again you will have to play the Beta starting August 30th to qualify for these gifts. Just a reminder, starting today the Beta will be open to the public.

So i downloaded the Beta yesterday played one match(which took me 10 minutes to get into) and thought it was okay i still prefer Killzone 3 multiplayer over Resistance although i do like the perks better than KZ3 i don't know if i will buy this game right away maybe around christmas my top priorities are Uncharted 3 and Arkham City.

I'm so freaking stoked for this game. I took to the beta for the first time last night and loved it....can't wait to get real deep into it. I just wish they let me use my damn Move Sharpshooter in the beta. It's really fun with Killzone 3, hopefully it's implemented well with R3!

The beta really does open up after you get to level 5. I am at level 16 now it is a blast (now that the servers seem to be more stable). Can't wait to play the full retail version.

I'm pretty pissed off. I was up to level 15, and there was an update and after I installed the newest update, it reset me to level 1. I haven't really played it anymore because I didn't want to go through all of that again.

i played yesterday got to level 3 and unlocked a few weapons and classes got a little better at it and enjoying the beta a bit more when does the beta end?

I literally just finished reading Resistance: A Hole in the Sky (the book that bridges the 2nd and 3rd games)...and it was a pretty damn enjoyable book! It's really added depth to Capelli's relationship with Susan and did a great job of explaining how

I can't believe gameinformer gave this game a 7 the guy who reviewed it sounded totally bias. Hopefully I can persuade my dad to buy this game for me I really want to play this game

YES! OMG, it's almost unbearable. I'm seriously considering not playing the MP until the next patch comes out in hopes that the lag is addressed. It's not my connection either. I have a connection of 50 Mbps, and I don't know if it's their servers or if I have just had bad luck and got a sucky host each and every time.
