exactly, but that said it would have been nice if the nice doctor suddenly turned into the lizard, character the general audience are familier with. I think it would have had a bigger impact than the new conners will have.

conners/lizard:

* has to establish the wife and billy
* has to first grow his hand so his family are over the moon
* has to then change to lizard and challenge spidey
* has to implement plan (if there is one)

then you have the STAR of the movie, peter and his relationship with gwen so how are they going to squeeze in the proto goblin without the main story getting pared down?

Well, the only thing in your post that's been confirmed is the Peter and Gwen bit, so I don't think you have to worry yet.

Sort of a villainish *****e that pushes him around too much and threatens to withdraw funding from Connor's research?

We might still get Proto-Goblin a bit after but I'm kinda seeing them connected in this film.

I'm curios to why some want to see Electro in a movie. IMO I always found him to be a weak villian.

I dont think he's a weak villain he has potential. However, my problem with electro being in a movie is that, we've seen vilains with his powers so many times before. The magic would lie with how well the character is written and he'd have to be written really well for him to warrent his own movie imo.

mysterio is the best villian to use because the sky is the limit with the things you can do.

with illusions;
you can send spidey to the past
you can send spidey to the future
you can send spidey any place or time
you can make spidey any shape or size
you can make spidey fight multiple villians (robots) without giving the villians a backstory
you can make spidey think he is going mad
you can make the police chase sidey as they think he is commiting crimes

mysterio as a villian is a no brainer

Perhapes van Adder Is test subject for Curt Conners Exprements.He then turns Into Lizard when he tests on himself.Plus they may connect SPider-Man's origin to Conners
by having the spider also be part of the exprements Conners Is doing.

what it van adder is like a jerk rival scientist on the rise and connors feels forced to test his serum on his missing limb without any time to really figure in the dangers...and turns him into the lizard...thus being a villain to connors...idk...i just hope theres no dang proto goblin.

Yes. The writers and directors went to all the trouble of finding this character, just to give us the wrong name when they announced it.

I got it van atter is a terrorist caught before he can do something crazy, and connors being a vet from the war on terror is brought in by norman osborn and he pays him to find a way to grow back lost limbs they could even I dont know cut off this guys legs and arms so he has a disability the idea is to market it to the military.
