OK, Lizard does indeed have a snout. Whew.
The face seems to have a human-like forehead and eyes, but there is indeed a longer snout with a creepy grinning curve to the mouth. Also, the underside of the neck seems to be a lighter color, sort of yellowish. Greenish color overall.

So far, so good.

Good point. Perhaps they only saw the front view or something.
Also, notice that Lizard seems to be turning his head to look at one girl, and then the other. When the head is turned away to look at the girl on Lizard's left, the snout seems more blunt. Maybe people just didn't realize what they were seeing.
But yeah -- long snout FTW! Woo hoo!

I wonder if they'll go with the SM2 way of naming him (ala JJJ saying, "Let's call him 'The Lizard!'") or if they'll take the Iron Man route and only say his name in passing, fitting in naturally with the conversation. Or if they'll even give him/it a name at all...?

If there is one thing I want to see happen in this movie. It's Spider-Man landing in back of the lizard cracking jokes, and the lizard just casually smacks him with his tail through a wall (or two).

Ifans was arrested at the Con.

"The Amazing Spider-Man" villain Rhys Ifans was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery for shoving a female security guard before Friday night's Comic-Con panel for the film, police tell TheWrap.

Ifans, who smelled of alcohol, became irate when a member of his entourage was unable to enter the hall for lack of proper credentialing, police said. He shoved the guard, and was allowed to participate in the panel, but the guard subsequently made a citizen's arrest.

"He was aggressive and belligerent," Lt. Andra Brown said of the Welsh actor. "He was... berating everyone from the security staff to the United States of America."

Ifans was cited and released, and must now pay a fine or contest the case before a judge.

"But according to him, the U.S. sucks and he doesn't want to come back," Brown said.

Maybe he was just getting into character: In the new film, due next summer, fans plays the villainous Lizard, who takes on reptilian features after trying to grow back his missing arm.

Sony, which is producing the film, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Yes! Apparently similar to that old game version, although we can't really tell if the face is that wide. I also think the nose is less human-like on the movie Lizard.
