Yeah...

Roland Emmerich’s next disaster film 2012 won’t hit theaters for a couple weeks (November 13th), but a sequel has already been planned… but not the normal kind of sequel. Entertainment Weekly has learned that Emmerich and executive producer Howard Gordon (Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice) are also developing a television drama titled 2013, which would be about what happens after the disaster. Gordon has already entered talks with ABC to develop the series, and if it does happen, don’t expect a lot of action to take place on the small screen, as this would be a drama set in a post apocalyptic setting.

it'll get cancelled after two weeks.... no worries.. lol

at least he didn't tell us how the movie ends

It could be interesting actually, but Roland Emmerich would seriously have to show some talent finally something he's never done before, because action is all he's good at.

If more talented people take over the writing and directing chores, it could be quite interesting.

umm this is a big spoiler
sucks it ends with survival

Why are people complaining?...I think the movie looks like crap (I could watch on tv but no way in theaters) but the show could be pretty interesting if done right

TV series? Please. This movie is so bad it'd be lucky to make back its budget. Outside of the overdone CGI special effects there's no story at all to build on at all. If anything this could be the movie to sink Emmerich's lackluster career.

So will this show take place a couple of years later. John Cusacks character(He's named JACKSON!) will be played by another actor who will crack jokes every two minutes.

Stargate reference for those that don't know.

Hahaha. No, it will in fact make back it's budget plus some. The general audience loves these type of films and they will flock to see this one due to the massive destruction and carnage displayed in the trailers.

from what i have seen i think the show will be set on some sort of massive boat vessel thing that is traveling around a ruined and flooded earth.

Maybe it will be about the people trying to start earth up again by finding and claiming new land and all the adventures that follow such a mission

I don't think 2012 is so bad compared to New Moon which makes this seem epic.
