The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Rotten Tomatoes score? - Part 4

It's dropping because it was pumped up and people were voting 10/10 before even seeing the movie.

Which is one reason why audience ratings, whether it be RT, IMDB, wherever, aren't reliable the way critical ratings are. At least you can be sure the critics actually saw the film.

This goes for any film, not just this one.

People that hate the movie have RT for validation for their opinion and I understand that as many a time I've used RT in movie arguments. But for me I've seen the movie 5 times now and 5 times I've laughed and cried (literally) and been riveted beginning to end, so the RT score means little to me with regards to this movie. Obviously the next movie I see that I hate I'm dragging out RT to support my opinion. ;)

It really should not be dropping that quickly....

I know. A week ago it was at like 80%.

It's dropping because it was pumped up and people were voting 10/10 before even seeing the movie.

Makes sense. After all we had people here voting 10 scores in rate the movie thread polls before the movie was even released. The Mods had to close the polls until the movie came out because of it.

Cap's at the same rating even after a month. Also, most other movies drop like 5% after a few months of release.

That's because Cap 2 is a great movie that can hold it's popularity status.

Lolololol, geddit?

The die is cast on this one. No matter what the score is not going to leave the 50's percentage range now. It's officially a critical flop.

Yeah will probly be a 54 has that is what it is at right now with 224 reviews I think and the movie being out for just over a week I don't know how many more reviews we will get now.

It would need another 34 positive reviews in a row to get to 60%, and that has a 0.0000000000000000000001% chance of ever happening, especially since it already has 243 reviews, so yes, this will be considered a critical flop. I just find it shocking how Spider-Man 3 wasn't considered rotten.

Apparently it's going to drop about 72% financially, from one friday to the other. I guess word-of-mouth hasn't been that good either.

Audience rating down to 73% with only 150,000 reviews. Spider-Man 3 has 2 million more than that. This thing is going to keep sliding down.

Spider-man 3 has a 51% user rating.

We'll see if ASM2 drops that low.

I somehow doubt it.

Spider-Man 3 has dropped over the years and somehow coincidentally took a few hits when ASM1 came out.

SM3 deserves a rotten user rating.

The fact that it had a fresh critic rating always felt off to me.

ASM2 and SM3 will both end up with rotten user ratings. The fact that ASM2 has gone down 2-3% in a week user rating wise is clear signs that it's going down.

User rating have been known to go up also.

ASM2's user rating isn't guaranteed to drop 14 points.

ASM2 isn't an under appreciated movie that in 5 years people will appreciate. It ain't going up.
