...said the guy on the superhero forum
Joker can and should return.
"Oh I know, let's leave Batman's greatest ever villain out of the final piece to this trilogy!!"
Yea, that would be really clever wouldn't it.
People who say Joker's story is done, you're BSing. You know for a fact that Ledger was alive you would be singing a completely different tune. Don't try to deny it.
But Heath Ledger is dead you say? Well Heath Ledger doesn't own the Joker, he doesn't even own this interpretation of the Joker. No one does apart from Chris and Jonah Nolan.
Don't get me wrong, Heath did a amazing, barn storming job, no doubt. But the people out there saying it would be impossible to top him are exactly the same as the people who were saying Heath would be a crap Joker in the first place.
As for continuity? Who cares? It doesn't have to be the exact same Joker. It doesn't have to be a completely different Joker. I don't think audiences will give a toss if it's a different person, as long as they get to see another, twisted, evil, incredibly visceral performance by the person who gets the gig. I mean, why would they?
Did people care when Alec Baldwin magically changed into Harrison Ford in the Tom Clancy movies? No of course they didn't. But it's a different matter you say? Heath died though you say? Yea, and? While that is tragic this is a character in a film we are talking about, and not just any old character in any old film. It's the Joker in the finale of a Batman trilogy.
If the audience fails to grasp this then they don't deserve to see a Batman movie IMO.
But I don't wanna argue about it, all that I've posted there is fact IMO.Joker can and should return.

They are also the same people who claimed it would be impossible to top Jack Nicholson and... here we go again. But the people out there saying it would be impossible to top him are exactly the same as the people who were saying Heath would be a crap Joker in the first place.

Or Guy Pearce as Riddler![]()

stay off the herb, my young and dilluted friend. Pearce is a loss, im afraid. whatever talent he once may have had has been squandered by meaningless effeorts in the degradation of art.
why is it batgeeks always have to mention pearce in some bat-role. does it all stem from 2002 pearce as batman rumors (which would have blown)?
