Drama Royal Pains

I'm just confused about her family. I mean, traditionally, the Indian family subplot tends to be that the parents push the kid too hard and demand too much because, in fact, a lot of Indian parents are like that in real life. But what the hell could her parents really want from her that they're not satisfied with her clearly excellent skills in medicine, the holy grail for parents everywhere? I doubt they're ultra-conservative, since Divya changed into a pretty and somewhat revealing sun dress for her family thing in this week's episode.

I'm from an Indian family and let me tell you, the other guys are right, they want her married already not working. Hell, my grandmother was married off at 14 years old. India's some serious stuff man.

was there a new episode this past Thursday? Because if so, I missed it. :csad:

Yeah, there wasn't. Can't believe how much I like this show. I was totally pissed not to see an episode this week.

USA aired the premiere after a Burn Notice marathon on Friday, which I watched with some friends who hadn't seen Royal Pains yet. They liked it and were interested in watching more.

When I was watching Casino Royale on USA last night, I saw a commercial for a Royal Pains marathon. I snickered because there's only been like, what, 3 episodes? lol

Yeah, more like a mini-marathon. But it's a good show so hopefully that hooks some more viewers.

I just caught up on Hulu. Great show. I wonder what Boris' deal is and what his plans for Hank are.

USA is always brings a fresh and interesting twist to classic genres

Psych, In PLain Sight, Monk= all great new ways to go about a police procedural

Now Royal Pains is a great new addition and a new spin of a medical show.

I really like it

It's almost impossible to believe that they're an NBC company...

Only because people actually watch the USA shows. I think NBC puts out good shows a lot, but no one pays any attention to them unless they're sitcoms. Personally, I absolutely fell in love with Journeyman a couple years ago, but we all know how that turned out. Life was also good but it just got canceled as well.

it's funny how the good shows end up getting cancelled but the bad ones stay on (i.e. Heroes).

You just HAD to open BOTH those wounds, right? :cmad:

Sorry. But, hey, at least you've got Royal Pains now. :)

Funny in a depressing sort of way. I'm curious just who the hell is still watching Heroes at this point. I watched through the end of last season and it did pull up a little bit and become somewhat watchable again, but I doubt I'll even bother with the next season. Which, coincidentally, will be its fourth, which boggles my mind when stuff like Dollhouse has to struggle to barely get a second season greenlit.

Hanks brother was starting to get on my nerves in past episodes...but now that he sort of stumbled onto a little secret, he's starting to take things a little more serious...gives him more depth. I like it!

I heart you USA.

Anybody else get the feeling that Boris is Jill's ex-husband or ex-boyfriend or something?

maybe. she did mention that she got married last episode. he could be the ex. puts Hank in an awkward position though. lol

Well, that theory is off the table being as it was revealed last night that her ex is an ER doctor. I'm actually thinking Boris may be Hank and Evan's father. They introduced that subplot last night. Its a long shot, but it could happen.

last night's episode was good one. We got to learn more about Hank and Evan's past and we saw that Evan is good with kids. I like how Hank can find anything in the house and turn it into a medical instrument. I think I have a crush on Jill.
