Drama Royal Pains

Yeah, the new episode expanded a lot on what all the character's subplots will involve. Hank and Evan's father, Div's job juggling, and Jill's husband.

And more Jill, less clothes.

Well, that theory is off the table being as it was revealed last night that her ex is an ER doctor. I'm actually thinking Boris may be Hank and Evan's father. They introduced that subplot last night. Its a long shot, but it could happen.
I got the impression that they knew their father but he left. Hank and Evan have both seen Boris and not recognized him. Frankly, I think it'd kind of suck if Boris turned out to be their dad.

I stopped watching this show after the first episode, because it looked like a blatant rip-off of Burn Notice. It's the same basic formula. All you have to do is replace the spy angle with a medical one.

Has the show evolved into more than that?

I would say the show is a mixture of Burn Notice, House, and MacGyver.

That's like saying The Mentalist is just the CBS version of Psych. :o

Does anyone know the name of the song played during the opening credits?

I missed Thursday's episode. I'll have to see it on hulu

Yeah, I'm totally hardcore. I'm also gonna take like 4 more hours checking these books in while I watch last week's Tonight Shows afterward when, really, it'd only take like an hour and a half. Libraries are great.

Yeah. I need to learn all those large corporation job tricks where I do precisely nothing all day but yet they still keep me on the pay roll.

Working on the weekend where you're one of the supervisors helps.

Just finished this week's RP. Really good. I'm glad Tucker and Libby are de facto supporting cast members; they're fun. Divya continues to be unbelievably b****y, which is starting to annoy me. Snarky characters can work if they're totally shameless about it or if they've got a clear good nature underneath the snark; Divya falls into neither camp. She's snarky 99% of the time with a bit of kindness breaking through but not enough to redeem her snarky patches. Especially with Evan. She's so mean to him. Anyway, the end of the episode was great: "I was talking to the car." :D

Evan's delivery made that line. Cause I knew it was coming and still laughed hard at it. And yeah, I really hope this whole Divya being super mean was just because he started to break through her snark shield that separates her job and her personal life.

I want everyone to know about her personal life so she doesn't have to get so defensive about it all the time. Maybe she'll lighten up.

It looks to be heading in the direction of Evan will learn all about it... she'll tell him to not say a word to anyone... but he'll let something slip in the eventual Divya episode.

I've been thinking Evan and Divya will eventually end up "together". But I enjoyed the newest episode.

Eh, I'd hope for friendship, not necessarily a relationship. You know, that kind of snarky-yet-warm friendship built on insults between the two of them with a hint of affection underneath.

I was implying like a one night stand type of thing.
