Saw this on another forum...Ruby was edited out of COIE "JL" formation for a brasil promo
Ouch, lol.
Brazil cancelled Ruby for being lazy. That's cold.
Brazil gets me.Saw this on another forum...Ruby was edited out of COIE "JL" formation scene during the Superman and Lois: legacy of hope special
This is a Berlanti Productions issue, not CW or HBO issue.
Another in a long line of horror stories about terrible treatment and work conditions from cast and crew involved in a lot of these shows since Smallville. Absolutely disgusting.
The CW either needs to clean house, investigate the abusers and those complicit, and have an entire reform of their workplace, or they just need to shutter their entire production house and let all of the newer, better quality shows (Stargirl, Superman and Lois) migrate to HBOMax. The horrors the cast have suffered on these sets is not worth it.
So, either we haven’t heard anything yet from Stargirl or S&L, or the work conditions are better and that production company isn’t as involved.
Even from watching those two shows, I get a different vibe and get the sense from interviews and such that the atmosphere is much more laidback, amicable and humane. Wonder what the difference is that separates it from the typical CW shows, aside from the bigger budgets and better production value.
Considering Stargirl already made the leap from DC Universe/CW simultaneously to the CW exclusively, I don't see them moving it back to a streaming platform anytime soon.
This is a production company issue, not distributor issue. Unless you fire the whole crew, you are still going to have the same issue.
Between Rose’s statements and this, I’m going to bet the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Berlanti and co. skated by more or less unscathed after the Kreisberg firing a few years back, so there still being mess behind the scenes wouldn’t surprise me. Plus we already knew about Rose’s injury and the crewmember being paralyzed, so they really need to get their **** together safety-wise.Apparently she was let go due to complaints made against by cast and crew:

My thoughts exactly. No one sounds like “the good guy” here.Between Rose’s statements and this, I’m going to bet the truth lies somewhere in the middle. On the other hand, the way Rose phrased some of this stuff sounds less like someone coming forward after being genuinely wronged and more like someone who’s been waiting for the opportunity to grind her axe in public.

Ehh, the set safety issues are really the big issue to me. Its been an issue with Riverdale and even worse with this show. It does make you wonder how bad it is. The big one is the complaints of Candice Patton. I wonder how much worse it is given what she has spoken about.
Yep.Superman and Lois probably enjoys the benefit of not doing as much or as complicated night time location shooting.
But these shows are a grind. Its why the leads start asking for more time off after the show is a hit.
