Spider-Man should be a formidable match for his enemies, not like in the Raimi's 1st & 2nd movies

Well, considering that he got clobbered the first time he fought against Doc Ock to the point where he wanted to quite in the comics, I'd say the fights in Spider-Man 2 were pretty much dead on.

I even remember an issue where he went off to face the Doc and said his good-byes to his family and friends because he seriously feared he might not return. Seems to me, that Doc Ock was always intended to be stronger than Peter and Peter was only able to lay the smack down, when he was in an agitate state of mind. Like for example, when Doc Ock had nearly beaten Felicia Hardy to death.

IF we still had "Sir Raimi" and there was a NYC scene with snow.. YOU KNOW.. we would get Peter and MJ makin stupid Snow Angels in the park... while Chipmunks danced on the branches above them.... LOL.. and of course Peter would HAVE to break down and cry cause the "Snow Angels" reminded him of the first time he saw MJ.... "Aunt May.. Aunt May... is that an "Angel"!?!? t:

Edit.. and knowin Raimi, we would probably get a music overdub of Alvin and the Chipmunks singing Let it Snow.. Let it Snow.. Let it Snow.

I didn't say it was wrong to have Ock scary and powerful in the movie, I liked that, and I see you ignored the lower part of my post

Seriously, Spider-Man should have light moments but they should be contained, and not come at such critical times, and they SHOULD mainly come from Spider-Man quiping.

I always thought the Raimi suits were a bit to glam for my taste but I really didn't have a better idea for a replacment at the time so I just ended up accepting that look. Then this new suit came out and may I say that IMO the black, recessed web design>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>the raised, silvery design.

I think if they were going to us Venom in a sequel, I would hope that they would do what SSM did, and have it be a combination of 616 and Ultimate.

They already went that route. I would hope they re-invent the character....give him more depth and foundation, with real motivation.
