This thread is obviously quite dead but I thought I'd give it go anyway.

I've been thinking Alona Tal for Karolina. She could play a teen and all she'd need were some blue contacts. Certainly the right build and look imho.

I don't know about acting ability but on looks and age alone I'd pick Adair Tishler for Molly Hayes.

But Runaways is a story about teenagers. Granted Spider-Man was a teenager in the first movie, but it was more about him becoming a hero. Runaways is a story about a bunch of kids. I'd say, the highest age for the cast should only be 20-21.

Except for the fact that she can't.

Don't get me wrong, years ago she would've been the perfect choice (and hell, she looks dead on like an older Gert in Ghost World), and she might be able to pull of younger, but not 16.

Way to be an mature about it, pal. The fact is, that this girl couldnt play Gert in her wildest dreams. Get over it.

Now, Tina Majorino is a much better choice.

The whole casting 25 as a 16 year old is bull**** because if this was some romantic teen comedy the reaction would be "great more adults playing way under their age"

And with Spiderman he was only 16 for a few scenes and then got to a point where he played an age ambiguous young adolescent, if not Harry would have only been 20-21 while running OsCorp in the second movie. The exact age didnt matter in Spidey after highschool.

Molly and Nico should be an unknown or something. I have no clue who to choose. I hope they don't hire any Disney "actors" because most can't act.

Chase, Gerty, and Nico i think can easily still be played by a person in there mid-to-late twenties as long as they had a "young" look

While I agree that he isn't skinny, I don't really see a jock build on him. He seems just regularly built.
