Good point. Yet, when guys slap men on the butt it doesn't telegraph "gay" to me. Although I'm not sure men do that in sports if the butt is naked...I've never seen that. Generally, it's always on the field or maybe in the locker room in transit, etc. Slapping a uniformed behind doesn't come across sexual--it's just a congratulatory signal.

I'm sure that in those situations that the picture/s shown to that person/people might have indicated that the women/women might have looked unconscious/asleep but they were just in a pose where you couldn't see their face. I'm sure they were fully aware of said photographer taking said photographs.

That's a good question. I've actually never given it much thought.

I read somewhere once that some scientists and psychologists believe that ALL men are inherently homosexual as far as the tendencies are concerned, but what makes some of us straight vs. gay is the degree to which those tendecies exist. Perhaps butt-slapping is a covert outlet for some of these macho men and they don't even realize it on a subconcious level.
