The cinematography and color grading of this look bad imo. But questionable production value choices aside, for someone that never liked the previous nine Saw films, I enjoyed this. The premise isn't groundbreaking, but Jigsaw taking revenge for those cons felt justified for Jigsaw to be putting people on "traps". So it didn't feel like just another Saw movie of Jigsaw's minions putting people on deadly traps just cause.
The twist in the final act is what made me like this. I was thinking how they were going to escape from that.
I always wanted to see Jigsaw in those traps, and iirc this was the first time they had Tobin Bell in a "trap". I am surprised the con doctor survived ? I wonder if there's a continuation for that.
