The trailer definately make me want to see more of Widow.

ScarJo delivered. I loved all her scenes in the new trailer.

She was the biggest surprise and the most pleasant one. She's actually the first character along with Banner who have really sold me on the fact that the danger is very real and that it's ****ing scary.

The sort of gets lost with the other characters seeing as how strong they are but she really grounded the severity of it all in a very natural way.

Definitely excited to see her now.

I like that one shot of her on the ground with that worried expression on her face, almost as if she was in a fight (the Hulk escaping, maybe). It sort of humanizes her.

Love that. I prefer her look in this film to IM2.

Amazing acting haha

At least we know her roll in this movie, as it was in IM 2 ... EYE CANDY

:woot:

Well, she's the only woman in this movie (Maria Hill doesn't count since she's hardly in it), plus ScarJo is so gorgeous, makes it pretty much unavoidable that she'd be an eye candy. But I think ScarJo is actually a talented actress and her expressions in those scenes are quite believable.

I definitely love on how they're allowing for BW's character to show more layers than they did in Iron Man 2 where she was just the kick ass femme Fatale.

I agree, I love the fact that they're showing her as more human and making her more relatable in The Avengers.

I used to want Emily Blunt, who was their first choice to play BW until her schedule prevented her for accepting the role, to play Avengers' femme fatale, but I think ScarJo has proved that she's just as good as anyone as BW, or maybe even better.

She had more facial expressions in that trailer alone than she did in all of IM2. Joss will do right by Scarlett and this character this time around. I'm sure of it.

I loved that shot of her running away from The Hulk. It really gave a sense of what it's like to be in a small area with such a powerful force. How terrifying it is and sudden, like being caught in an Earthquake. Makes me want Joss Whedon to direct an Incredible Hulk film. I thought the last movie forgot to add the "what it would be like" believability to being around a terrifying force of energy like The Hulk.

Completely agree. Her face is made of pure fear in that shot where she is shaking on the ground.

She sold me the severity of it all. The fear factor of the entire situation is something that should be addressed and it's great that Whedon is certainly paying that area mind.

Very impressed with what i saw of Black Widow in the trailer. Before that, didn't really give a **** about her.

I get the sense that BW and Hawkeye will be uneasy and doubting themselves, which is a cool bit of meta commentary, seeing as a lot of people are questioning how effective they'd be.

Agreed, it makes sense that they should feel that way given how out of their depth they are no matter the training, in a lot of ways BW and Hawkeye will provide the way into the movie for the audience.

Simple but very effective, she doesn't oversell. I also like the delivery of "I can persuade you", it wasn't a cheesy sexy thing, it was more earnest.

Scarlett's looking quite hot. I wonder if they'll show where she lives in this movie. Maybe Cap also lives in the building and she falls for him while doing some nannying.

BTW posted this in the Anne Hathaway thread a while back:

That's kind of creepy.

I'm pretty sure Hulk isn't chasing her: he's shielding her.

Oh, I thought we heard a while back that he was gonna Hulk out on the Helicarrier with Black Widow there trying (and failing) to calm him down. Am I making this up? I was assuming that shot was from that scene.
