Mine was pretty packed and they had to open up a second screening because people were smashed in together.

Rio on the other hand had a midnight opening and I saw literally no one going into it.

Though one thing is now bothering me. How the hell did Jill survive the shock to the head? Was it just a low voltage or something?

U know I could of actually seen them going with the Jill getting away with it storyline and spanning it out for the next 2 movies. However since they pretty much killed Jill in the hospital it makes me wonder where do they go from here?

Overall though I thought the movie was badass. it was the perfect way to say remakes suck and as Sidney would say don't **** with the orginal

BTW Does anybody have any crowd reports on how crowded was the theater u saw the movie in. Mine was sold out

I'd say my theater was over half full. It was pretty empty at first, people started coming right at the previews.

I think that was just bringing back one of the orginals rules that the killer always tries to come back for one last scare

Ah, well. The fight was still badass as was the movie. I guess I'll allow them that one cheesy horror cliche moment.

Leaving to see the movie in half an hour. I can't wait to relive the Scream experience again in the theater. If only everyone was dressed as Ghostface at it, it would feel like the Stab premier at the start of Scream 2 :D

OMG, best ending ever! The killer was
Billy's father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate!
Never saw it coming!!! :oldrazz:

Yeah, that's one of the many things I found comically over the top, that beat down was so overdone it got to the point where it was almost funny too.

I think running head first into the wall THAT hard would've smashed her skull and either put her in a coma or killed her right there too.

On top of that, she's gotta be about the worlds stupidest killer to think she can kill a two cops and two civilians in the hospital, then just get back in bed and noone is going to know she did it.

I was laughing when she ran into the wall. If I was the killer I wouldn't of gone through that much trouble, especially the glass table , ouch! As for the hospital , her idea was just to strangle Sidney , once it got out of control there wasn't much she could do besides try to kill anyone that got in her way

Not to sound crazy and defend Jill, but that's what made her insane. If Sidney woke up and told Dewey what happened, she would have been screwed. Why would she risk that. And when Jill got up a second time for the last blow, my audience squirmed and the reaction was "Oh my god, uh oh!!" in the best way possible.

Oh Yeah, I'm defending it too. She had to take out Sidney. That was a badass fight also. I squirmed thinking about Sidney's wounds being reopened. My audience cheered when she got zapped in the head. Jill beating herself up at the house was over the top but not in a bad way imo. It was more like a haha damn this chick is nuts

Ok more questions for those who saw it :P

Did you think Emma's height was an issue for being Ghostface? I heard some ppl complain about this, but she was taller than Mrs.Loomis in Scream 2 not to mention she was wearing high heels (there's even a shot of this as she stumbles towards Sidney in the kitchen finale).

Personally I don't have an issue at all. Ghostface is always a blur of rampage running around (and even more so in this film) and he's never really standing still side by side to his victims to measure their height. Plus all the younger cast (with the exception of Trevor and Kirby) looked to be more or less the same height as our main trio.

Goddamn spoiler tags. I'll see if I can catch it today or tomorrow. I want to join the spoiler tag club :(

The only time it was weird was when GF (is taller than Sid) stabs Sid then when GF reveals he is Jill she is on par with Sid.

But, they tried to show these 2 GFs were skinnier, less build than the previous 5, which make up for it.

Not too big of a nitpick though, they've done worse with black boots and black jeans reappearing and disappearing in the trilogy.

Thanks for the spoiler tags, everybody!
I won't be able to see it for a little over a week. I gave up R- rated films for Lent, but I think this'll be the movie I break that on, the day after Easter.
For those who've seen it, I just have two questions:
1. Is it good?
2. Do you recommend it?

I haven't seen it mentioned, but did anyone notice Anthony Anderson's name was Perkins...Anthony Perkins, aka Norman Bates. That was a pretty clever one I think.

God I want to see this again. I feel like theres more little things I may have missed. Really thinking this is tied with Scream 2 in my favorites, with Scream still being barely on top.

Well, I just got back from the film and it was FANTASTIC!!! Warning: spoilers ahead!

The opening of the film was fantastic and was a great twist as well. I loved that it showed us how milked some franchises can become. Anna Paquin and Kirsten Bell's scene in the opening made he audience laugh, lol.

The killings, IMO, were fantastic and I didn't necessarily suspect who the killers were. The Rory Culkin kid, sort of, but not Jill. I just loved the climax as well. it was a reamke of what happened in the original. Tbh, at one point I thought Sidney died, though, I quickly erased that from my head.

Gale was fantastic in this. She retained her attitude from the previous films and showed us that classic Gale character that we all know and love.

Sidney really seems to have matured, but she seems to also have grown tougher over time and it shows. I will say this, Jill was pretty much the closest or atleast on par with BIlly and Stu in terms of the chances of getting away with the killings. Jill was literally crazy.

Remakes play a big part of the film because the film itself is essentially a remake. The killings, etc. At one point, the Rory Culkin kid is tied up outside and the killer is quizzing Kirby on horror films. She gets it right, goes out side and unties him. Then she gets stabbed. That's one of the twists that we sort of see in horror remakes.

Dewey was awesome as well. He seems to stil lhave that attitude from the first 3 films. He's smart, but he's also a little...clumsy, you could say. He's not a good shot, lol. The comedy in this film is defenitely there this time around, but it doesn't really take away from anything. Anthony Anderson's character's death is pretty damn funny, lol.

Overall, a fantastic sequel. The team of Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson really shows with this film. Here's to Scream 5 & 6.

9/10
