The opening of the film was fantastic and was a great twist as well. I loved that it showed us how milked some franchises can become. Anna Paquin and Kirsten Bell's scene in the opening made he audience laugh, lol.
The killings, IMO, were fantastic and I didn't necessarily suspect who the killers were. The Rory Culkin kid, sort of, but not Jill. I just loved the climax as well. it was a reamke of what happened in the original. Tbh, at one point I thought Sidney died, though, I quickly erased that from my head.
Gale was fantastic in this. She retained her attitude from the previous films and showed us that classic Gale character that we all know and love.
Sidney really seems to have matured, but she seems to also have grown tougher over time and it shows. I will say this, Jill was pretty much the closest or atleast on par with BIlly and Stu in terms of the chances of getting away with the killings. Jill was literally crazy.
Remakes play a big part of the film because the film itself is essentially a remake. The killings, etc. At one point, the Rory Culkin kid is tied up outside and the killer is quizzing Kirby on horror films. She gets it right, goes out side and unties him. Then she gets stabbed. That's one of the twists that we sort of see in horror remakes.
Dewey was awesome as well. He seems to stil lhave that attitude from the first 3 films. He's smart, but he's also a little...clumsy, you could say. He's not a good shot, lol. The comedy in this film is defenitely there this time around, but it doesn't really take away from anything. Anthony Anderson's character's death is pretty damn funny, lol.
