The finale is so silly, once you think about it.

Three patients get out of their bed and unhooked from all their devices. And all we see is ONE nurse as Jill sneaks into Sidney's room.

No one cares when Jill unhooks herself, no one cares, Dewey screams loudly running down a hall once Gale figures it out. No one cares. Sidney is in ICU and Jill throws her out of her bed and breaks glass. No one cares. Dewey gets beat over the head loudly. No one cares. Gale unhooks her ass from anything, comes in to check, gets in danger. No one cares. Hicks gets shot. No one cares.

What the **** was the staff doing? Having a rave in the staff lounge?

I would assume distracted by all the reporters outside. lol

Man you guys have me all excited to see this. I can't wait until tonight to go see it hopefully, with a packed crowd. It's suppose to be a few thunder storms tonight but I willing to risk it to see this!

I guess, but I'm just imagining them all nonchalantly shrugging at a nursing desk.

''I mean it is Woodsboro. This happens on a weekly basis around here. Just let it ride out."

Well I hope he stays on as the main creative voice for the rest of the new trilogy. Really enjoyed everything he's offered so far. Especially in Scream 4.

As silly as it was, it really didn't take away any of my love for it. That's one of the best finales of the series, IMO.

Apparently it's on it's way to only an 18.5 million opening. I think that might kill Scream 5's chances. You know though, it's possible that it could do better business on Saturday and Sunday than they think, what with kids still having finals on Friday.

Animated movies ALWAYS win out when they're against something live action. It's just how it is.

I still have my fingers crossed. However, I don't think there's much dneying the fact that the reason it's probably not doing fantastic at the box office is because many people aren't aware of the Scream franchise. I mean, this is a new generation/new decade.

...maybe it'll have legs like the original. :csad:

A lot of these little bastards weren't even born when the second one came out, or were still nursing on a teat.

It's odd because it's a trending topic on Twitter and the Tumblr hash tag is very busy too. I know a few people who can't see it this weekend because of finals and stuff.

It's a shame it is underperforming, but not entirely unexpected. I thought it was easily the 2nd best Scream film, but that's the risk you run when you try bringing a series like this back after so long.

Well, hopefully we find out soon that that's the reason.

The predictions probably won't be very far off. It might make 2mil more or less than the prediction, but it won't be a giant turn around. That is very rare.

That said, a film like this with a small opening can often times have decent legs. So, I would hope more for legs than a giant turn around on predictions. That would be more likely.

I think overseas could help as well. It's just odd that a film that's apparently underperforming is still trending on social media sites. Next week has a Tyler Perry movie coming out and that scares me a bit. Fast and the Furious 5 is the week after that. It'll have tough competition after that.

Well, that is probably because even people who have not seen Scream 4 want to know who Ghostface is. I'd imagine that is the reason for the traffic.

It may have tough competition coming, but I think it can still manage legs with WOM (which seems to be good) and the fact it is starting at a low amount.

The first Scream opened to a 6 million opening and went on to gross 100 million. It just depends.

I'm fine with Scream 4 being the last, it's just I'd rather this movie perform well, than for the cast to feel like they made an inferior product that no one saw.

That's exactly my point, though (in regard to Scream 1's opening). Bad opening doesn't kill the movie. This can still go on and make some money. Heck, Narnia 3 had a TERRIBLE opening, but it got 100mil domestic and is getting a sequel. Strange things happen. I can see this maintaining legs.

And Scream 4 is not an inferior product, even if it makes no money.

I wasn't saying that. You know how I feel about the film as we discussed it in depth on your profile and AIM, Marx.

Like I said, I'm perplexed whether I want 5 or not, but I still want the film to perform well for the cast, Craven, and Kevin's sake.

Oh, I know man. I'm just saying that I think it will have legs. It's a great movie and Scream does have a cult following.
