Kinda not hard to miss,I didn't notice the Himbry statue.

The finale is so silly, once you think about it.
Three patients get out of their bed and unhooked from all their devices. And all we see is ONE nurse as Jill sneaks into Sidney's room.
No one cares when Jill unhooks herself, no one cares, Dewey screams loudly running down a hall once Gale figures it out. No one cares. Sidney is in ICU and Jill throws her out of her bed and breaks glass. No one cares. Dewey gets beat over the head loudly. No one cares. Gale unhooks her ass from anything, comes in to check, gets in danger. No one cares. Hicks gets shot. No one cares.
What the **** was the staff doing? Having a rave in the staff lounge?
Alot of people talked about how Jill's setting up her motive scene was funny, but I just don't see how.
Both my audiences laughed at this scene, too. The biggest laugh came form her smashing her head against the picture on the wall.
Saw it. My God, I loved it. Finally! It definitely delivered.
I just gotta say, thank God I completely stayed away from this film for months on end. It was worth it.
But anyway I'll begin with the opening. These movies have always been predictable. This is no exception. The opening scene was absolutely brilliant. First, a sequel deconstructing horror movies and totrue pron and trends, then going into the next sequel in trying to be more unpreditable with the dumb blonde being a killer and killing the other blonde. Then it going out into the real world with two blondes. Thank God this all played out right. The main blonde going upstairs, making us think she would bite it when the chick downstairs on the phone bites it instead.
Then GF calls and I'm loving it. "You're just a dumb blonde with big ****." Her death reminded me of Tatum's too. Which was probably intended.
Then when the title hit and the song came on with the reveal of Woodsboro, I had a huge grin on my face. It felt so ****ing much like Scream it was great.
Then the other stuff unfolds. As ever, they did a fantastic job of mind ****ing me. This movie truly is a case where anybody can be the killer. They are all strong suspects. It's constantly shifting. And I mean constantly. The new cast is all likeable and memorable and the women are all smoking hot. Hayden Pennetierre being one of the best.
The barn scene was cool as well. I liked the drop of Scream 2 in there. Scream 4 watching the first Stab seen in Scream 2. Great.
The laughs provided also remind me how these films have laughs as well. The dialogue is sharp and witty and very Williamson. All the original cast feel like themselves.
The one thing I loved among alot of things is that when this movie was announced, they said they would pass to torch to the next generation. Well the next generation all died in this film. Which is such a hilarious and sick irony.
The deaths are awesome. Anderson's death being the best. The "**** Bruce Willis" line wasn't needed, but it got a big laugh out of me.
And finally the killers. Like I said, it was constantly changing. You tend to remember how everyone else fits and where everyone else was at the time of the killings. Kirby's house scene was great. And this is where I was getting mind ****ed.
"Where did you come from?"
"The front door. It was unlocked."
This is where the **** happens. Anything could happen. They're all stuck in one place. Is the killer among them? Are all they all vistims? They played it off all so well. At first I thought it was Trevor, then it switched to Kirby (seriously though, Kirby would have made a great killer) then went to Charlie for a second or so. I suspected Robbie because of the webcam in the barn. But he was drunk. And it seemed to be a reference to Roman in the third and actually making him dead this time. At least that's where I got from it. Both gay comments by the way were funny.
But Jill was the last person I expected. of course you run everyone through thei mind and who seems the most porbabale, and Jill was last for me. ALthough she crossed my mind in Kirby's house because her, Trevor and Charlie were disapeparing. Again, they played it so that anyone could be it. A nice isolated place with five people. So unlike the first.
Then when Kirby lead Sydney down the stairs in the basement and acting all uncaring with Charlie outside, she seemed like the killer to me. She has Sydney alone and she doesn't seem to care as much. But then Charlie is stuck outside with the events of the opening of Scream 1.
Whcih reminds me, they did an amzing job with mirroring the vents of the first and twisted them up in such an ironic way. Everything was unpredictable with that in the final outcome. But they pulled it off.
And I've thought about the reveal of the killers. It's justified as any of the others save for Roman. You suspected Billy finally being the killer when he asked for the gun and gave that look, leaving a few seconds for it to register. Same with Charlie. I started to suspect that it was set up when she came out.
Charlie is definitely the Stu. Weak willed accomplice but who tried to be like the next Randy in escaping.
Jill was simply psychotic. A jealous fame seeking *****. Her own cousin. Yeesh. And her motives make damn sense. I was wracking my brains as to what it would be, and it makes so much damn sense. These days with the technology we have at our fingertips, people want to get famous. Some want to do stupid thing, others will take it too far, like here.
And she obviously wanted to be the new Sydney. And Trevor in place of Billy, still managing to trick the people in suspecting.
Her roughing herself up was darkly comic and I loved it.
And to me the real twist was her playing upon Billy and Stu'd plan and actually living it out for a short while. Her being the hero and the survivor. That plan in the first tow never came to fruition because they were interupted.
Now in a time like today, that possibility can happen. Oh, just brilliance.
The finale was great. Tense. Her beating Dewey I mean damn!
And Sydney shocking her in the head was awesome.
"Dont **** with the original."
The best line and delivery of the, if not one of the best lines of the franchise.
The last shot was different too from usual. An ironic shot really. Instead of being on Sydney, you're on the killer who wanted to be like Sydney but is dead before our eyes.
Cox and Arquette are still great. Dewey's ring tone, Gale's still great personality, Dewey's "Deweyisms."
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE **** TO TYPE!"
I just love the that original trio remains and the supposed "new generation" all died. Althoguh I would have preferred to see Kirby survive. Yeah, don't **** with the original. The first time something like this has done so, and it would take something like Scream to say it.
I need to see this again. But as you can tell, I loved it.
So far, this is how they're ranked.
Scream
Scream 2
Scream 4
Scream 3
Well people have survived worsehttp://kotaku.com/#!5499061/accused-game-cheater-gets-knife-through-head-and-survives
I still wish Kirby had lived.

Awesome review, man. Glad you enjoyed it
Your ranking of the Scream movies is the same as mine. Parts 1 and 2 are still in a league of their own for me.
Spoiler tag this dude!
I did, but now you'll have to edit your quote!
Seriously though, when is the spoiler ban off? I get being polite, but it's been out for a day and a half. If you're reading this thread and haven't seen it yet, you're reading at your own risk.
