Not missing the point at all, the point is a contradiction. Referencing something in a movie doesn't make it what it's referencing.
I welcome an arguement about the actual film but don't accuse me of being some *****e with a vendetta just because I didn't like it.
It's disappointing that DJ is seemingly buying into to the false narrative that I am a trouble causer just because I defended myself against an annoying accusation.![]()
And which scenes were these?...so that fact [blackout]that certain scenes in this movie were direct copies of the original[/blackout] means nothing to you?
Exactly. Thank you.It's taking the piss out of remakes/reboots without, actually, being one.
And which scenes were these?
Exactly. Thank you.
THIS IS A DIRECT SEQUEL...BUT IT WAS A PSEUDO-REMAKE. It's not that hard to grasp guys. The movie was a direct shot at all of the remakes that have come out in the last decade...done in true Scream fashion.![]()

Calm down man, were just having spirited conversation. See my problem with picture isnt the remake stuff, its the director ripping off two entire scenes from His own original movie. Like u said i know there trying to pay homage but dont go and ripped the whole scene, its just lazy.

I did a Scream marathon before a midnight showing on thursday, while yes some things were similar, there is nothing that is shot for shot or anything like that.Maybe you should just watch the original again man. Do I really need to list them for you?
Except that's not the case at all.Calm down man, were just having spirited conversation. I'm gonna direct you to this post.Majik1387 :
2 teens killed in the opening = Casey Becker and Steve
The one teen had the garage door close on her = Tatum
Olivia had her guts spilled out = Casey Becker
Gale planting cameras at the Stab-A-Thon = Gale planting cameras at the house party
Charlie tied to the chair as Ghostface taunted Kirby on the phone = the opening of Scream
Jill and Charlie setting up the crime scene in the kitchen = Billy and Stu setting up the crime scene in the kitchen
It's that simple. I don't understand what's there to question about it.
It was a direct sequel about a remake. I agree it's pretty simple.
I don't agree nor do I understand anyone who says the motive is weak or just doesn't make any sense.
Please read.
Where have any of you's been living the past 3 or 4 years? Jill's motive is as TODAY as its ever going to get! Have you not read TMZ before? Or Entertainment Tonight? Have you not browsed through Youtube? It's a powerful social commentary on a world gone mad - which is the world we live in TODAY.
Jill doesn't want to kill Sidney. She wants to BE Sidney. She is jealous of all the fame her cousin has that she doesn't. She doesn't want to go to school and end up working a 9-5 job. She doesn't want that life. She wants to be important. Famous. She wants fans. In this day and age where everyone is becoming famous for absolutely nothing, for having very little talent, or for going crazy, she wants that. She says this herself : "I don't need friends. I need fans!" and "Sick is the new sane". And it's true, isn't it?
Crazy = Charlie Sheen.
Talentless = Rebecca Black.
Famous for no good reason = Jersey Shore (or the countless other reality tv shows).
As she was saying all this, those were all the real-life examples that popped into my head. You can't tell me it's not relevant to what's going on right now, because it most definitely is.
