Gale even says the killer is remaking the original 'Stab' movie. (Which meant the original Scream.) All throughout the movie the characters are talking about remakes and 'trying to one-up the original'.

I thought we were treating this as a sequel hence the title "scream 4". Also why i felt it was ripping off the original, they can talk about remakes all they want in the movie but outside that stab crap this is a direct continuation of the third movie. Also a pet peeve of mine is the need for them to continue to rely on a movie within a movie stab crap to explain stuff. The way randy gave us horror tips in the first was perfect.

It's disappointing that DJ is seemingly buying into to the false narrative that I am a trouble causer just because I defended myself against an annoying accusation.

I never said any of this nor did I insinuate it. It was just the "licking your asses" comment that I didn't like. That's why I responded to your post. Plus I was defending you in a way as well.

I was making a general statement to everyone. I said you have the right to your opinion and for everyone here to not get so hot headed and defensive in the wrong way if someone doesn't agree with them. I'm fine with your opinion and don't think you're being a troll at all or in general. You didn't like the movie, I'm okay with that.

Jill and Charlie's whole intent was to create a real-life Stab film, by remaking the first Stab movie, which was based on a true story (in the Screamverse at is, which is the first Scream).

Just got back from seeing it and all I can say is AWESOME! Now I know what you guys have been raving about. Plus the theater experience was freaking awesome.

It's basically scream 1 for the new generation. The humor is spot on and there is a lot of jump scares/ very intense and it's pretty intense. Ghostface is bad ass and the kills are extremely brutal. I sort of knew who the killer was but the twist caught me off guard. Everyone in the audience was like WHAT????!!!! But seriously this movie was just a fun movie going experience it was a blast seeing this was a active crowd. O the opening is hilarious as well.

This is better than scream 2 and 3 in my book. My only complaint was that the movie did kinda drag towards the end but it wasn't boring or bad by any means. I was still glued to the screen. Overall, I give it a soild 8 out of 10. Bring on Scream 5!!!


Side note- As people left the theater the policeman on patrol decided to pull a prank on all us coming out of scream 4 since we were the last people before they locked up the theater. Well.. one of the policeman's friends dressed in all black had a Ghostface mask. Scared the crap outta some people ( myself included as well as my friends). I wish I had recorded it. It was hilarious! Those policeman are always cool lol.

I did a Scream marathon before a midnight showing on thursday, while yes some things were similar, there is nothing that is shot for shot or anything like that.

Jill doesn't want to kill Sidney. She wants to BE Sidney. She is jealous of all the fame her cousin has that she doesn't. She doesn't want to go to school and end up working a 9-5 job. She doesn't want that life. She wants to be important. Famous. She wants fans. In this day and age where everyone is becoming famous for absolutely nothing, for having very little talent, or for going crazy, she wants that. She says this herself : "I don't need friends. I need fans!" and "Sick is the new sane". And it's true, isn't it?

Crazy = Charlie Sheen.
Talentless = Rebecca Black.
Famous for no good reason = Jersey Shore (or the countless other reality tv shows).

As she was saying all this, those were all the real-life examples that popped into my head. You can't tell me it's not relevant to what's going on right now, because it most definitely is.
