As for hints about Jill. It's the same once you watch the movie again. You see the little things she does that makes her reveal make sense.
There was some subtle hints for Mrs. Loomis. When you look back through the movie you see some hints to her peppered throughout it. Like Debbie Salt saying "It seems to me if the killer is repeating what happened in Woodsboro, then it's possible the killer could be from Woodsboro".
The Stab clip they show with Tori Spelling and Luke Wilson as Sid and Billy is of the scene where Billy tells Sid he had to accept that his mom abandoned him and his dad.
Finally you have Randy and Dewey discussing possible suspects, and Randy saying female killers are perfect because it's sort of against the rules but not really, and cites Mrs Voorhees, a serial killer mom out to avenge her dead son, as being a terrific killer.
It's only when Mrs. Loomis is revealed these little hints become more apparent.
Yeah, I've never seen a 25 dollar new release DVD in a Best Buy. I see 19.99 for DVD and 29.99 for Blu Ray though. Plus there are places other than Best Buy to buy movies you know.![]()
For the last time. This is not a flop. It's under-performing, sure, but it's not a flop. There was barely any advertising done for this film. So the advertising budget can't be much. Overseas it's already made 9 million past it's budget and it's still got weeks left in theaters.
Horror movies don't flop. They under-perform. It's because they are made for cheap.
This entire series has solidified the fact that Halloween (1978) still is the best slasher movie of all time, in my opinion.
Scream 4 was not near as scary as it should have been. The finale got more laughs than screams during my viewing. Maybe it was supposed to be tongue in cheek but that's not what I call horror.
Yeah but the other places around here are ridiculous. Target always runs out of the stock and FYE... just... no. lol And Amazon and all that are too risky in terms of when the movie will get here. I'm an impatient person when it comes to releases. And I don't wanna wait for the mail man. lol
I can get a new DVD for $14.99 if the film performs well in theaters. If it doesn't, the lowest I can get it for is like $23.99 on the day of home release for DVD.
The Blu's are usually $29.99 for good releases and bad movies usually get the $35-39 releases.
Either way - I'll end up buying the movies on Blu when it gets released if not to see if a couple months adds new perspective or just to have the Kirby phone call to save Charlie at my fingertips. I don't think you guys grasp how much I WANT to like this movie. lol

I read 'Dellamorte's Box Office Wrap-Up' every week over at Chud.com

Check out this week's section on Scream 4. It's a failure.
Scream 4 had a great ending in terms of wrapping up the series; I'm glad this will be the last of the series. Sounds good to me.

I was in the same boat with Scream 3 , when it first came out I was really disappointed but for some reason I've liked it more over the years. I still think it has many flaws but the positive outweighs the negative.
PS: Speaking of things from the OT that I really don't like... I really hate when they find dead bodies and check pulses. Even in Scream 4 it bothered me. You see someone laying on the ground, stabbed, eyes glassed over and staring at the sky, chest not movie..... that ninja dead. D-E-D = dead. lol

and I may be (once again) alone in this boat... but I really hated Parker Posey in this movie...... a lot.
So.... I'm a troll because I didn't like the film and thus have forfeited my right to post about it? That makes no sense.
You guys can kiss each other all you want rallying for another film and I can't root against one? You guys can blame marketing and remain delusional about why the film didn't perform well and I can't argue against it?
And for the record the blind love that I feel you guys have for this movie is equally as annoying.

I'm sorry, I know you guys all see something in this movie that apparently the rest of us don't and while you may be a majority on this forum... in the general theater going public... you're the minority. I'm not trying to be a d*ck. I'm just saying... the rest of us didn't think so much of it.

Thinking more about Scream 4 after seeing it Sat night, I enjoyed it. It was entertaining. Here's my ratings:

Scream 2.... 7
Scream 3.... 6
Scream 4.... 7
Again, "flop" and "underperforming" are two different things. It's already made three quarters of its budget back, and made it back fully if you count in worldwide sales already. That is not "dead" either. It will still have several weeks left in the theaters to make even more. And if you think that dvd sales don't factor anything in, then you're very mistaken. There have been many times over the years that films got sequels or considered successes due to those, because yes, those are a part of how the film is sold, and they clearly bring in money to the studios for it, so yes, they do look at how lucrative those are in wanting to invest in possibly making more of it.
