Scream 4!!!!! - Part 4

I'll be heading for my Best Buy to pick it up first thing when I'm up. Been waiting for this ever since I saw it on opening night back in April.

I'm more excited than when I saw it in theaters, the crowd ruined it for me.

Are there any good deals? I think at Target it comes with the soundtrack for $2 more.

Wow, this caught me offguard. I didn't realize this was coming out today. Guess I'll be making a Best Buy run.

Got the blu for $17.99 by showing an online price of Target to the Target in my hometown...

Sothis doeshave commentary with Kirby,Wes, and Jill. Can't wait to watch this after work

Just got it and will be watching it later tonight after I finish watching the first three.

Right now if you pick it up at Best Buy you can get it on BD for just $19.99 plus tax before it soon retails for a far pricier $29.99.

I'll be watching this later along with the special features, can't wait.

I was gonna buy this but I bought Fast Five instead. This movie was just okay for me not bad but not great. I will just rent it this week. Then maybe pick this up on the cheap later.

Nice to know - Thanks

Pretty decent deal

Sure thing.

Just finished watching it twice now (second time with the commentary) and checking out all of the special features. I still really like the movie and consider it the best since the original. If Scream 5 and 6 are as good as this I say bring 'em on.

I just finished watching this again. It's just as great the second time through as it is the first time through.

I can't afford it this week, but with any luck I'll get a copy next week. I'll rent it tomorrow for sure though.

Just bought mine as well. I purchased the complete collection that comes with all 4 movies and a Ghostface mask LOL.

Ok, so I loved it in theaters, but I think I appreciated it more now on dvd. I feel that the film is very tight, and just flows much better as a whole. I found the pacing a bit off in the beginning when I saw it in theaters, but now watching it on dvd, I feel there's no issue at all.

I'm going to talk about some deleted scenes so some spoilers......

I loved them. I understand why so many were cut out, but there was some really great stuff in there. If I could re-edit the film myself, I would have re-edited these scenes back into the film :

1). The Crime Scene with Dewey and the bodies.
2). The extended Hallway scene with Jill and Trevor.
3). Dewey's Test at the Robert's house.
4). The Hospital scene with Jill and Trevor.
5). Kirby, Robbie, and Charlie leaving the Cinema Club.

And I know it's only like 20 seconds or so, but I would have kept Aunt Kate freaking out outside Olivia's house because that gave her some more screen time and she was great in that little scene.

But other than that I really like this movie and I know Wes said Bob is really trying to get a 5th one made. I just don't know how much money they can pull from it at this point. And the story would have to be something they've never done before (leading male?).

I just don't know where they can go from this one. You know?

I know what you mean. And Kevin won't write it, I assume. He has 37640 TV shows to write and produce and we all know he's bitter with the Weinsteins. I have no idea where they can take it.....

Maybe Sidney's married? Or pregnant? But then it would be another jump in time, and we already had that this time around.

I like the idea of Sidney being a mom and her kid is menaced by the new Ghostface. I think it'd give the movie an edge and a freshness.

But then we'd be skipping another what? 10-15 years after Scream 4?
I think Scream 4 is the only opportunity they could have used to pull that off. By giving Sidney a husband and 10 year old son or daughter. Maybe even celebrating her kid's birthday in Woodsboro with Sid's dad (like an homage to Happy Birthday To Me or something lol).

They did explain Laurie. She faked her death and changed her name so Michael wouldn't come looking for her.
Laurie was a retcon though. She had been dead and they had to rewrite her. I feel they'll be doing a meta thing with Kirby similar to that.

Yet, you picked up Fast Five? Really? Really? Really?!

That reminds me, what about the rumors that Dewey and Gale had a daughter by the time this movie began? I remember reading that they had a daughter named Tatum, after Tatum from the first movie.

Wes said they cut those elements of the script because Gale was always running around crime scenes with a baby on her hip and it just felt wrong.

I just finished it and I was just thinking about it that way. Even though I liked it when I first saw it in theaters, I really loved it when I saw it here at home. I need to see this again with the commentary and look at the deleted scenes and all.

Wes Craven said in an interview that Kevin Williamson had an outline of a new trilogy, so regardless if Williamson writes it, I think we'll get something similar to what he had in mind.
