I jsut hope it happens. Obviously, I own all 3 on DVD, but I do want them on Blu-Ray as well.

Im really tempted to get the first two. As I held onto them from Netflix for about a month. I do want them on Blu Ray though. So we'll wait and see.

Is this real? And, how has this been under our noses...?

I know Canada has them in Blu-ray but those are Region 2.

The Scream-Trilogy forums don't know about the above link either...

I'd buy that if the BD of the first Scream was uncut. So stupid the uncut version still has yet to see a Region 1 release, but hopefully this year it'll finally happen.

Somewhat, a few of the death scenes are noticably much more gruesome. Here's a video with some of the footage (fair warning that it's quite graphic and NSFW, if the moderators find it inappropriate to post here they can edit/delete the link from this post).

The US LaserDisc version contains 20 seconds of restored footage that was originally cut to avoid being slapped with the NC-17 by the MPAA. It also has commentary by director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson. In the commentary, Craven notes five places where his cut differs from the theatrical release:
-Steve's guts are shown pouring out of him as Casey looks on. In the released version, the very last few moments of this are shown.
-Casey hanging from the tree was time compressed in the film release (it is at
normal speed here).
-When Tatum meets her death by garage door, her head is shown, very briefly being flattened.
-After Kenny the cameraman's throat is cut, he stares at the blood on his hand after touching his neck, and then looks up at the killer.
-Billy clearly loses control as he delivers his final cuts to Stuart.
-After Billy and Stuart have finished stabbing each other, there is a shot of
Stu's hand dripping blood into a puddle, with Sydney's father looking on.

So, basically, just some more gore and crazy Billy. I think you can find some of that on YouTube

I remember that the laser disc had the extra footage my buddy who was a big LD fan had it and I was like when I saw it. It would be nice if it was uncut on the DVD or at least have the extra cut bits as extras on it.

I'm surprised we didn't get the uncut version on DVD/Blu-ray way back in 2006 for the tenth anniversary, you'd think Dimension would've done so for a movie that was such a big hit and left behind the legacy it did.

Makes me think they are reworking the you know what from the you know trailer.

I'm honestly quite surprised and dumbfounded there's seemingly no plans to release the uncut version yet to coincide with Scream 4's release.

Hell, they got Terminator 1, 2, and 3 out on Blu before Salvation hit theaters....

I think they're going the Tron route and releasing the Blu ray with the Scream 4 blu ray.
