Scream 4!!!!!

Especially considering she's clearly being chased by the/a killer on her roof.

Billy got "stabbed" by the killer. So clearly if someone is being chased on a roof, they cannot be the killer.

Billy had Syndey as an onlooker in Scream

She seems to be alone with the/a killer in the trailers.

^^ Another good reason. I mean, anything is possible, but I think it's safe to say Sidney isn't the killer and won't be in future films.

I just said it would make for a cool twist, not that that's what they're planning.

And just because there's a scene with Sid being chased by the killer in the trailer, doesn't mean it will be in the movie. They seem to do that quite often in movie trailers these days. Remember the scene where Jason was sharpening his machete on a bench grinder from the Friday The 13th remake? That wasn't in the movie either. Granted it's not as pivotal a scene as Jason chasing someone, but it's the same idea. The scene with Ghostface chasing Sidney in the trailer could simply be a red herring.

^^ IT could be, but like others said, it just seems far too long for Sidney to be the killer. I don't think she'd snap out of nowhere, especially since she hasn't been in Woodsboro in 11 years.

Sidney being the killer would be the moment when this franchise jumps the shark.

Regardless of the chase scene, Sidney also receives a call from the killer in the trailers and is definitely alone then.

I just don't want Sid to die... I was never worried about her being the killer but I'm still nervous they might kill her off.

They need to kill off Sid, Gale, and Dewey. They can't survive everything.

*just bought a midnight showing ticket, dangles...

My third "midnight" Scream flick.

I don't see why they need to kill any of the 3; out of most recent horror movies, they're part of the few characters that you actually root for to live instead of waiting for them to die. They're likable and realistic. I'm not saying they need to stay alive in all the Scream movies forever, but they don't need to die.

Was that before or after they got SLICED and DICED?!

Well, if they live, which I'm not against, they need to stop getting shot, stabbed, blown up, and whatever else. Dewey and Gale should have already bled out. I thought the motto of these films were that no one is safe?! Yet, I have three immortal characters that can accomplish anything. There needs to be a great emotional impact in this series where one of the three die. See what that does to the two remaining. Breaks them. Engulfs them with hate and have a real Ghostface running around killing, unstoppable.

I mean, just imagine if Dewey was a Ghostface. He's a cop so he has access to everything. He knows all the tricks.

Keeping the trio alive thus far is not only a huge crowd pleaser, but it's something no other horror franchise has ever done.

When ppl watch Friday the 13th, they want to see Jason. Nightmare on Elm Stree? Freddy. Halloween? Michael Myers.

Scream? Sidney, Dewey, and Gale. People actually want to see the GOOD GUYS. And yes, everyone wants to see Ghostface, obviously. But this is one of those rare series in Horror where the GOOD GUYS are the main draw. It's brilliant.

That was exactly my point. I don't mind if they kill off one of the trio but they have to create new survivors to follow if that happens.

That's very true. However, in most horro films, main characters don'tt last past 4 films. Jamie Lee Curtis died in her 4th Halloween film. Though, I will say, Scream does bend the rules a bit.

Yeah but to be fair - then it gets to where we are now with the whole "they're safe" mentality.

When they killed Randy, that was a game-changer. Honestly, I'm cool with Gale being killed finally, and even Sidney (just like laurie strode eventually bit the dust)

I really only NEED my Dewdrop homie in there. Without him, I don't feel like it'd be as much fun.

See I'd miss Dewey the least. I wish they'd stopped saving him for his fans like they did with 1 and 2 and just let him die. Mostly because of the original 3 I feel he's the most stereotypical horror movie character in the fact he's just a dumb oafish cop, whereas Sid and Gale break the horror mold.

I found Dewey to be more innocently naive rather than goofy in Scream 4. I liked it.
