omg marvel man, they took a 10 year break. That's not overkill. If 4 would have came out in 2005 and 5 in 08 and 6 now then, yes call that overkill.

theres a difference between taking a break and being qouted to saying you would never do another one and let the franchise end there. So should I come back to you in 4 years when the 6th comes out? Maybe overkill was a bit strong, how about tiresome? I stated observations and opinions many people have about the 4th movie. I truly believe though that the box office will not be high for this, the audience that saw the first 3 are mostly older now and wiser and kids today just arent familiar with this series and lets face it the kids who hang out at the mall on friday and saturdays are the ones who generate constant movie business. Like I said earlier I would love to be proven wrong but I just dont see this being well recieved.

This is understandable. I didn't think we'd see any of these characters again and I was fine with that because their stories had been wrapped up. I was really skeptical at first but seeing them all together again does make it exciting. They did say they were going for another trilogy so the focus might shift from Sidney to another character this time.

Well he has tried different things; Red Eye , Music of the Heart, and the infamous My Soul to Take. Luckily when he does return to the well , there is usually good results. Also things like Freddy and Ghost face have remained marketable over the years. I think he knew fans would want to see this and I don't blame him for bringing it back. I don't care if he's in it for the paycheck if he can deliver.

I know most of you guys are jazzed for the release and god bless ya but scream worked in its time because of the state of horror movies and the who dont it type movies were big then. The state of horror movies have changed drastically today, now its about the saws, exorcism, ghost flicks. I hope it is amazing and makes me eat crow but as of now based off trailers Im not sold.

I think that's actually something in Scream's favor. The slasher genre has been dead to me outside the Scream films. I can't even think of any right now honestly . Scream 4 will probably be the best slasher in years and seem fresh .
 
I believe when they said it, they meant it.

Things change and nothing, NOTHING, is ever set in stone. Even if it is in print, minds can be changed in a matter of minutes.

Did they think the movie scene would look like it does today? I don't think they knew what was going to happen 10 years into the future. Anyway, can't wait!!!!
 
I had a dream that there are 4 killers in this one. It was just a dream though.

Oddly enough, that makes me think of Murder on the Orient Express...Cravenized! Which, in a weird way, would make sense, as Craven pays tribute to the classics in his works.
 
What if Emma Robert's character is Ghostface?

Would never ever see that coming.
 
^^ Agreed, but I don't see it happening. Then again, it is Scream, so you never know.
 
Well, in my dream, the Ghostface character is the four people by the water fountain in one of the pics released. The two dudes and two gals.

I'm glad they went with the original cover art for those blu's. Also releasing them separately was a good move. Although I'll purchase all three.

There could be some truth to that but
One of these two would have to wear stilts, so basically they would need a third killer or it's one of them with someone else.
 
With the way these films turn around and film sequels quickly. I've noticed that Hayden has kept her hair all Kirby styled, but Emma has went back to her blonde hair.
 
I was hoping there'd be no name dropping. UGH.
 
Let me remind people that any endings that might have been attached to test screenings are most likely not the ending that will be shown April 15, which I just realized is little under a month away.

There's a Scream-trilogy fan site that's really good but I accidentally stumbled upon potential spoilers in those forums so watch out for that. Also anyone can claim they saw the screening so it just takes one lie and people will hop on the bandwagon....

HUGE spoilers in this spoiler tag, don't read this if you don't want to know about the finale.

Those two are the killers, and that's always been a problem with the way this movie was cast for me. I don't buy either of these two as ghostface. I know size isn't everything, but geez, you could probably knock out Emma with a frickin' pillow, and Rory isn't much bigger.

Awesome art and I really like the simplicity of that Scream 4 knife poster, btw.
